AceShowbiz –Candace Renee Rice is not here for any negative comments. Taking to her social media account, the “Floribama Shore” star slammed inappropriate questions about baby shower after she gave birth to her first child at 24 weeks.
“Soooo…. Do we still have a baby shower? Is that ‘appropriate’? Baby came so unexpectedly,” the first-time mom tweeted on Sunday, December 26. She added, “Is there a such thing as after-birth baby showers whiles he’s in the Nicu? We were so unprepared.”
Candace Renee Rice slammed people who asked her about baby shower after she gave birth at 24 weeks.
Her Twitter post came after some social media users asked her about baby shower after she announced her newborn son’s arrival. Upon learning her response, many of her fans showed some support. “He is perfection! Born on Jesus’ birthday! You know the good Lord has him in the palm of His hand, cradling him, caring for him & He loved him since He created him!” one wrote.
“Praying to you God above to make Maxwell strong & for mom & dad the strength to have the patience to wait for their handsome baby to gain strength to come home,” another person added. A third commented, “Sending you all my warmest wishes and all of my healing & strengthening vibes as he grows stronger each moment. XX.”
Candace announced her baby’s arrival on Saturday, December 25. Along with a photo that saw her newborn baby in the neonatal intensive care unit, the reality star wrote, “Merry Christmas everyone! [Christmas tree emoji]. Maxwell Michael Hardy arrived at 2:30am.”
“We have a Christmas baby and another Capricorn! He’s so strong!” Candace continued. She further explained that baby Maxwell is currently in NICU, adding that she hopes she can take him home “in a few months.”
Candace went on saying, “I’m asking for prayers now, more than ever for my little man. He’s so small, but so aware.” The 28-year-old TV personality noted that she “cannot wait to hold him.” She concluded her post, “Please keep the development of baby Maxwell in your family prayers today as you gather with family & friends. #ChristmasBabyBaby.”
Just two days earlier, Candace revealed that she went into pre-term labor. “I didn’t want to post these yet, but unfortunately yesterday I went into pre-term labor at 24 weeks,” she wrote along with a series of her maternity photos. “Dr. Tosha Muse in addition to all the wonderful doctors & nurses have been doing all they can to keep baby Maxwell Michael Hardy inside the womb as long as possible. It’s wayyyy too early for him to enter.”
Candace explained how challenging her pregnancy had been, sharing, “I lost 20 pounds in the first 4 months and was throwing up on average 7 times a day.” She also unveiled that she “could barely walk or move.”
