Over 10 years and eight seasons of Game of Thrones, the two actors reportedly had be kept separated following their “bad” break-up.
Lena Heady and Jerome Flynn, who play Cersei Lannister and Ser Bronn of the Blackwater, rarely appear in the same scene together on the HBO fantasy drama.
It’s believed Lena, 45, “refused” to film with the 56-year-old despite their linked storylines.
The pair met and acted together in the British TV drama series Solider Solider back in the late nineties, many moons before beginning to film GOT.
According to The Sun, a show insider claims they were kept apart because of a “very turbulent relationship”.
The source reportedly told the publication: “Lena and Jerome have not filmed together due to a bad break-up.
“They kept the full extent of it secret but it was a very turbulent relationship and it has been very awkward on set.
“She appears to have a genuine hate towards him”
“Lena has opened up to her trusted friends. She appears to have a genuine hate towards him.”
In the series, Jerome’s character has been both of Cersei’s brother’s bodyguards.
The star also worked on behalf of Cersei herself, after serving Tyrion and Jaime Lannister.
The pair have never confirmed or denied that they were once romantically together or not, after being linked in 2002.
In 2003 Jerome gave a cryptic comment about their relationship, he said: “We’re not a couple right now, people have seen us together and jumped to conclusions. I can’t rule out a relationship with her.”
Game of Thrones’ finale will premiere on Sky Atlantic and Now TV at 2am on Monday, May 20 to match the US air time.
It will be available to stream all day and will be broadcast again at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.
Daily Star Online has reached out to both Lena and Jerome’s reps for comment.
