Shakira’s estranged husband Gerard Pique is slammed as ‘pathetic’ by irate fan after he refused to ‘say hello to my son’ as she posts photo of the him with a mystery woman in retaliation

Gerard Pique has been trolled by a Swedish restaurant owner who posted a photo of him with a mystery blonde at a party.

According to the fan, the Barcelona defender, who split from his wife Shakira last month, allegedly refused to greet her football-loving son, prompting her to brand the star ‘a loser’ in a now-viral social media post.

Katrin Zytomierska claimed fame had gone to Gerard’s head with her public put-down and shared the snap of him with his new female companion following his split from Colombian singer Shakira.

The photo of Pique, 35, in a hoodie standing alongside the young woman wearing a white bobble hat went viral over the weekend as Spanish press tried to identify her. 

Businesswoman Katrin, who is also a famous blogger and TV host in her native Sweden, said in a no holds barred message along the snap she took at the event in Stockholm on Friday night: ‘Listen to me your looser @3gerardpique.’

‘Probably most girls at this party want to xxxx you. I see you and immediately think of my son. I was clear with you. I asked you to say hello to my son. You said ‘no’.’

‘Because you’re what? A guy that can dribble a ball? ‘That does not impress me much. What makes me sad is that fame has got into your head and that is pathetic.’

‘Your are not all that, you are just a guy with a ball. I have got that myself, a boy with a ball. But you know what karma is a b***h and it will bite you in your xxxxxxx a**.’ 

The furore created by Katrin’s revenge photo, taken at a party which was part of an event called ‘Brilliant Minds’ which Pique had attended as CEO of his firm Kosmos, led to her privatising her Instagram account over the weekend. 

Katrin told Catalan-based journalists Lorena Vasquez and Laura Fa before taking the drastic action: ‘I asked if he could say ‘hello’ to my son and he said ‘no’. ‘A little surprised I asked him again and his response was the same.’

‘He wasn’t rude, but he was a little bit arrogant. I suppose that because he’s such a well-known footballer…but I hadn’t met him until then. Afterwards I took the photo to post it on my Instagram.’  Katrin admitted she had no idea who the footballer’s mystery friend was. 

Gerard and Shakira confirmed the end of their 11-year marriage last month.

The former pair – who are parents to sons Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven – released a joint statement in which they said: ‘We regret to confirm that we are separating.

‘We ask for privacy at this moment for the well-being of our children, who are our maximum priority. Thank you in advance for your understanding and respect.’

The Grammy winner and the athlete initially emerged publicly as a couple in 2011.

Spanish outlet El Periodico reported that the couple have been living separately for a few weeks after Piqué was kicked out of the family home by the pop star. 

According to sources, Piqué has since been living a ‘party lifestyle’ in a bachelor pad and enjoying nights out with his teammates. 

Representatives did not respond when contacted by MailOnline for comment.

Laporta admitted Pique was struggling with the headlines and insisted that the 35-year-old was still a ‘good person’ on Thursday, according to Sport. 

‘Pique is suffering,’ Laporta said. ‘For all the money and fame you can have, they [footballers] are people. 

‘He is a captain and he still has much to give. Gerard is committed.

‘He deserves the love of the cules (fans) – don’t pay attention to the news that’s coming out, he is a good person.

‘He has chosen to continue being a footballer before a businessman.’  

Cheating claims: Neither party has addressed cheating claims but journalist Emilio Pérez reported: ‘(Shakira) has made the decision to separate. That is so. It has happened’ (pictured 2019)
