Gossip Girl is heading home to The CW!
The original series aired on the network, and though the upcoming revival is airing on HBO Max, it was just announced that the series premiere will also make it’s way to The CW.
The network announced on Thursday (June 24) that Gossip Girl‘s series premiere will have a special broadcast on The CW on Friday, July 9th at 8pm ET/PT, just one day after it’s HBO Max premiere.
In addition, the episode will also be available to stream on The CW’s digital platforms on Saturday, July 10th.
The upcoming Gossip Girl series was developed by Joshua Safran, who was a writer and executive producer on the original series, and takes us back to the Upper East Side finding a new generation of New York private school teens being introduced to social surveillance nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark.
GG of course stars Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Smith.
