Gwyneth Paltrow claims she sold a candle called This Smells Like My Vagina to take the ‘shame’ out of a woman’s private parts

Gwyneth Paltrow created a GOOP candle called ‘This Candle Smells Like My Vagina.’

It sold out immediately even though the name shocked the country. 

And the Iron Man actress told guest host John Legend when appearing on Ellen on Friday that she did it to take the shame out a woman’s private parts. ‘The idea that women have been taught to have a certain amount of shame about their body,’ said the wife of Brad Falchuk.

The star also hinted that she is a trailblazer.

‘So, if you just light a candle that says This Smells Like My Vagina, and put it on the coffee table, it’s kind of a punk rock statement,’ she added.

Also during the interview she has admitted she ‘failed as a mother’ by making her teenage daughter cry during a ‘road rage’ incident.

The Oscar-winning actress, 47, confessed Apple, 15, finds her ‘mortifying’ as she discussed parenting with Legend .

The Goop founder is mother to daughter Apple and son Moses, 13, from her first marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 42, who she was married to from 2003 to 2014.

Legend is father to two kids like Paltrow is, but Gwyneth’s are older than his, and he asked if they’re at the point where she’s ’embarrassing’ to them.

‘My daughter finds me mortifying,’ Paltrow said. ‘If I do anything in public, past just not talking and standing still, she’s like “Oh my God stop it!”‘

She also revealed that Apple has her learner’s permit and she drives them to school every day, and one day she drove was the first time she ‘failed as a mother.’

‘She’s a really good driver. I try to be calm and… the first time I failed as a mother, because she went through a red light and I kind of yelled at her,’ Paltrow said.

‘Then she started crying and it was just terrible and I felt so bad,’ she added. ‘So then I was like, OK, you know what, I’m just gonna be chill, and now she’s an amazing driver and I think I’ve learned from my mistakes.’

Paltrow added that she kind of has, ‘road rage’ in the car, and she can see how her daughter, ‘takes on certain aspects of you.’

Legend added that his wife, supermodel Chrissy Teigen has road rage too, with Paltrow adding, ‘it’s the place I get out all my anger.’

‘I wanna yell at someone where no one can hear me,’ Paltrow explained, as Legend explained it’s the only place he’s ‘aggressive’ and he’s usually, ‘the calmest person.’

He added that road rage feels, ‘futile,’ which Paltrow agreed with, adding, ‘It is futile, it’s ridiculous, but I still do it and now she is starting to yell at people behind the wheel.’
