Halsey has arrived at the 2022 Grammy Awards—a big deal no matter what, but even more so considering the fact that they just underwent surgery a few days ago. Halsey announced that they’d be attending the award show in an Instagram note to fans on Saturday, asking people to be gentle in case of a run-in.

“The last time I attended the Grammys was 2017 and it was 3 days after I had my first endometriosis surgery,” Halsey explained. “I walked the carpet with my stitches still in 😅 As luck would have it, I’m attending tomorrow for the first time in years and I had surgery again (you guessed it) 3 days ago. Only posting this to say, if you see me be gentle lol I’m fragile. Fragile but excited 🙂 🤍”

Tonight is a big night for Halsey, who is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album for If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. Halsey was (obviously) super excited about being recognized, writing on Twitter, “Really wasn’t expecting that! It was an honor to work with some of my heroes, Trent and Atticus, and I am so proud of this album and hope that you guys continue to love it for years to come. Here’s to taking risks. Also SO wild to have it announced by some of my favorite people and my friends. Congrats to @BTS_twt on their nom for Butter!”
