The Australian model, 35, who is due to give birth to her second child with her NASCAR driver fiancé James Kirkham imminently, covered her face and nose with a protective face mask, meaning her hairdo took centre stage.
She joins a slew of stars opting for the traditional African hair do, with celebrities including Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian facing fury by critics for ‘culturally appropriating’ by wearing the hairstyle.

Jessica, who is eight months pregnant and expecting her second child with her race car driver fiancé James, went low-key as she emerged with the braids.
Cornrows are defined as: ‘Cornrows or canerows are a traditional African style of braids in which the hair is braided very close to the scalp, using an underhand, upward motion to make a continuous, raised row’.
In regard to criticism over white stars wearing the hairdo, in 2018, Kim spoke about being criticised for the look, saying: ‘I’ve definitely had my fair share of backlash when I’ve worn braids…
‘I’ve been fortunate to be able to travel around the world and see so many different cultures that have so many different beauty trends.’

Jessica announced her baby news back on June 9, 2021, confirming she was six weeks pregnant – with the news arriving just seven months after she and James welcomed daughter Baby-Rae.
She shared a video to Instagram in which she admitted she was nervous about having two children under the age of two.

She explained that daughter Baby will be 14 months old when she welcomes her newborn.
Jessica added that she needs to focus on her nutrition in coming months, as she’s pregnant and breastfeeding at the same time and is ‘predominantly vegan.’
Earlier this year, Jessica and James revealed that they are expecting a little boy.
