Helen Flanagan ‘hurt’ by mummy-shamers who criticised her for sharing incredible bikini snap eight weeks after giving birth to son Charlie

Helen Flagan was left ‘hurt’ after mummy-shamers criticised her for sharing a stunning bikini picture eight weeks after giving birth, according to reports.

The former Coronation Street actress, 30, who welcomed her son Charlie earlier this year, recently shared a smiling snap with her two daughters while on a staycation.

However trolls hit out at the actress for ‘making other mums feel bad’ about their postpartum figures, and Helen was reportedly horrified.

An insider told new! magazine: ‘Criticism is hard for Helen as she’s openly admitted to being insecure and is very self-aware.

‘The photo was a happy moment with her girls and she did feel content in her body.

‘She got a lot of really lovely comments but the negative comments from mummy-shamers still crept in and they do hurt.’

The source added that Helen wasn’t ‘bragging’ about her postpartum figure and just wanted to embrace the body that had birthed three children.  

Helen had s been enjoying a UK staycation with her fiancé Scott Sinclair and their three children, Matilda, five, Delilah, two, and their two-month-old son Charlie.

She shared plenty of snaps of their Cornish getaway on Instagram, and floored fans when she and her daughters posed in matching pink gingham swimsuits.

Showing off her post-baby figure in a two piece bikini, Helen’s followers rushed to the comment section of her post to express their disbelief over the fact she’d only welcomed a son eight weeks ago, with one sweetly asking: ‘How do you look that amazing so soon?’

Love Island’s Kendall Rae Knight was one of the first to leave a gushing comment, writing: ‘The cutestttt! & your bod after having 3 kids is a joke.’

Another of Helen’s followers said: ‘You look amazing, wish my tummy went back as quickly as yours,’ with a third echoing: ‘Did you not give birth just 2 days ago lol?’

A fourth told Helen: ‘You look amazing, wish my tummy went back as quickly as yours.’

Helen and her family enjoyed a staycation in Falmouth, Cornwall over the weekend. 

In another snap, the mother-of-three was glowing as she nestled up to her daughter Delilah in an off-duty snap shared on Instagram.

In a photo with the whole brood, Helen balanced Delilah on her shoulders, while Scott carried Matilda as they strolled through the streets.

The girls looked adorable in baby blue dresses as they grinned on their parents shoulders. 

Getting the latest addition to the family in on the action, Helen also shared an adorable picture of baby Charlie wearing a blue and white stripe top in his high chair. 

Not to be outdone on the cuteness factor, Delilah posed in a solo snap wearing a hilarious yellow duck outfit and wellies.

Meanwhile, Helen’s eldest daughter Matilda had a big moment of her own while on the family trip as she proudly displayed the tooth she’d lost in a gap-toothed snap. 

The sweet family could be seen enjoying a day out at the beach as Helen and Scott smiled on the sand in a couple’s selfie. 

The doting mum also snuggled up to her newborn on the beach as he lay swaddled in a cosy fluffy jumper.

Helen previously revealed the family were unwinding at the town’s luxury St Michaels Resort. 

A gorgeous getaway destination, the hotel boasts tropical gardens and is situated just a stone’s throw from the beach.

‘Been having the best time in Cornwall, turned my phone off to be present with the girls,’ the former soap star told her followers.

The family’s getaway comes after Helen revealed she would have to wait ‘a very long time’ if she decided to have another baby due to her suffering badly with hyperemesis gravidarum.

Hyperemesis gravidarum, which Kate Middleton also suffered from, is characterised by severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss and possibly dehydration.

Sharing her experience with the extreme morning sickness, the mother-of-three explained: ‘It got worse with each pregnancy. It was worth everything but it was horrendous.

‘As soon as I found out I was pregnant with Charlie, I said to my mum I hope I don’t get Hyperemesis. I hope I’m OK.

‘I had to live with my mum and dad for three, four months. I couldn’t look after them. Now I’m not pregnant I feel like a normal mum again, I have loads of energy which is lovely.’

Helen added: ‘I had medication that worked with Delilah but I was just immune with Charlie. You’re constantly sick but it makes you feel low as well, you’re so on your own.

The trip came as Helen shared a close-up snap of her facial acne as she thanked her followers for their skincare advice and vowed to be ‘honest’ with her journey.

Helen had asked on social media for help in treating hormonal acne which she said she has suffered from after each of her three pregnancies.

At the time, Helen posted a photo of her cheek with acne visible.

‘When my acne returns (it has eventually after each baby) I will share and be honest with what works.’

Fellow campmate Eric Bristow said the star’s skin problem could be caused by her sweet tooth, leading to her tearing up in the Bush Telegraph.

She said: ‘I’m really sensitive about my skin. I know it sounds really stupid and I can’t believe I’m crying, it just really gets to me because I feel conscious enough because I haven’t got any makeup.’

Helen previously took strong acne medication but had to stop taking it to have children with Scott.

Back in 2014, she said: ‘I’ve been on some really strong acne medication but I’ve just come off it because I’m ready to start trying for a baby with Scott.
