- Jennifer revealed her plastic surgeon husband Bill didn’t want her as a patient
- The mom-of-five admitted he ‘wouldn’t have done my nose even if I asked him’
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin has revealed that she flew to Turkey in order to undergo a $3,000 nose job – despite being married to a plastic surgeon – because her spouse ‘doesn’t like her as a patient’ and refuses to operate on her again after performing her 2019 tummy tuck.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com at the International Beauty Conference in New York, Jennifer, 45, admitted that she chose to travel overseas for her nose job – because her husband, Bill, wouldn’t do the surgery and she can’t afford the premium prices charged by other doctors in the US.
‘I didn’t want to get my husband involved in it; he did my tummy tuck and he didn’t like me as a patient,’ she confessed.
‘I have five kids and my husband’s a plastic surgeon [so] people think I s**t money,’ Jennifer continued, before insisting that was not the case – noting that her large brood of kids costed a lot of money.’

In June 2021, Jennifer revealed during an Instagram Live that she’d had a nose job and chin implant, the latter she later had removed
So, when it came to finding a doctor who was willing to perform her rhinoplasty, Jennifer chose to look further afield for someone who would not only do the best job, but also offer her a much more budget-friendly price.
‘Nose jobs here can cost up to $25,000; I paid $3,000,’ she shared.
But Jennifer insists that paying less for her nose job didn’t mean she was forced to work with a doctor who was any less skilled than their counterparts in the US, quite the opposite in fact.
‘Every plastic surgeon is good in their own craft – if you’re going to go to someone specifically for something you’re very insecure about, you should go to someone who only does that procedure,’ she explained.
‘I was very adamant about going to somebody who only does nose jobs.’
She also shed light on why her husband refused to perform the procedure.
‘When he did my tummy tuck, he did an amazing job, but every time I was having concerns about something, I would call him,’ Jennifer said.
‘He always picks up the phone when I call, so he was picking up my phone calls when he was with patients. So he said, “You can’t take advantage because I’m your husband,” so he wouldn’t have done my nose even if I asked him.’

In June 2021, Jennifer revealed during an Instagram Live that she’d had a nose job and chin implant. Her chin implant was later removed.
Speaking to Page Six after the procedures, Jennifer said at the time: ‘I know it looks wackadoo in the first episode [of season 12] and I was expecting as much.’
In February last year, she admitted she ‘immediately regretted’ her chin implant and she was ‘not happy with my nose job either.’
Jennifer added she ‘would never recommend’ the doctor she used in her native Turkey to anyone.
She went onto to say in her Instagram post: ‘I’m officially done with surgeries! So try to be kind while you watch my healing process, in more ways than one. It wasn’t easy to share…any of it.’

But now Jennifer appears to have had a change of heart, highly recommending flying to Turkey to have surgery over the US because her nose job has turned out the way she wanted it to after all.
‘It was touch and go there for a second, but it ended up settling in really nice. I’m very happy with it. Turkey is the mecca for plastic surgery and hair transplants, and exuberantly cost effective.’ she said.
‘Even for your teeth you can fly there, stay there, get all your procedures done for a fraction of what it would be cost here.’
According to the ethical guidelines of the American Medical Association (AMA), physicians should not treat themselves or members of their immediate families.

Jennifer told DailyMail.com that her husband did not do anything illegal when he gave her a tummy tuck.
‘There’s no law against performing on your own family – there is a code of ethics that it may be frowned upon, but it’s all about perspective and what someone’s comfortable with. My husband’s mentality was “no-one is going to take as good care of you as I will,”‘ she said.
It’s not always been smooth sailing for the RHONJ and her husband, with the couple previously hinting at martial woes in the show in recent years after Bill admitted to having an affair, the day before Jennifer gave birth to their fourth child.
And it appears all is not well in the marriage 10 years on from Bill’s indiscretion, with the couple revealing during the current season of the Bravo TV show they’re seeing marriage counsellor Dr. Judy.
‘We keep pretending everything’s OK when it’s not,’ Jennifer told her husband during a heart-to-heart on the show.
