Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh may arrive in the jungle sooner than planned in order to ‘save’ the show after Olivia Attwood’s shock departure from I’m A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here!

Ant and Dec addressed the former Love Island star’s exit at the start of the show on Monday night as she continued to appear throughout the episode before leaving on ‘medical grounds’.

The Geordie duo said: ‘Unfortunately Olivia has left the jungle for medical reasons. She does feature on tonight’s show but we’re very sad to see her go but we wish her well.’

It has since been reported in the Sun that the ex-Health Secretary, 44, and comedian, 36, will make an early arrival in order to bridge the gap after the unexpected exit.

It comes after Olivia revealed she is ‘heartbroken’  after being forced to leave the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle earlier today due to medical reasons ‘beyond her control’.

A statement was posted on the 31-year-old’s Instagram account on Monday explaining that ITV viewers will ‘hear the truth in due course’ about her shock exit – just 24 hours after entering the jungle.

The former Love Island star blamed ‘reasons beyond her control’ after the show confirmed she had been forced to leave due on medical grounds following her first night on the show.

‘We’re very sad to see her go’: Ant and Dec addressed Olivia Attwood’s shock departure at the start of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Monday night as she will still appear throughout the episode

The statement read: ‘To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement, she dreamed of doing IAC for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).

‘However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.’

A source close to Olivia told MailOnline: ‘She’s so upset. She is absolutely devastated.

‘She felt so honoured and privileged to have been the first Love Island star to be given the opportunity to go into the I’m A Celeb jungle.

‘The worst part is that she absolutely did not quit the show and hates anyone thinking it was her decision to leave.

‘She wanted to take part still, but she had to leave for reasons beyond her control, which will be explained at a later time.’

It has been reported in the Sun that controversial signings Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh will be brought in early after it was revealed they are this year’s late arrivals.

Insiders suggested that bosses want to bring in the campmates sooner following Olivia’s unexpected exit to ‘save’ the show after she was forced to leave early.

Earlier in the day, her fiancé Bradley Dack has confirmed that the TV personality is ‘fine’, but will be ‘gutted’ with the early departure – after only spending 24 hours in the jungle.

However, admitting that even he doesn’t know why Olivia is leaving, the Blackburn Rovers footballer told MailOnline: ‘I just saw it in the news, like anyone else’.

Bradley added: ‘She’ll be gutted. I think she’s fine, but I haven’t spoken to her. I’m really not sure what’s happened. I just saw it in the news, like anyone else. I’m waiting for a call.’

It has been reported that the TV star will still get her £125,000 fee for appearing despite withdrawing from camp just 24 hours after arriving., according to The Mirror.

A TV source revealed that due to a particular clause in her celebrity contract, she will still receive her full fee, which is understood to be approximately £100,000 -£125,000.

After making history as the first Love Island personality to compete on the ITV show , the reality star has now left the camp after being involved in a reported ‘medical drama’.

A show spokesman told MailOnline: ‘As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

‘Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she’ll be very much missed on the show.’

Olivia’s early exit means she’s tied for the shortest stint in camp after EastEnders actress Elaine Lordan also withdrew after just 24 hours during the 2005 series when she fainted twice in one day.

It’s a shock blow to the ITV series, which returned on Sunday night with two million more viewers than last year , after spending two years being filmed in Wales due to the Covid pandemic.

During the action-packed launch show, Olivia’s jungle experience got off to a pleasant start when she was chosen to be a VIP campmate by the audience and chose fellow campmate Chris Moyles, 48, to be her companion for a lavish meal in a roped-off area.

Reality star Attwood and radio legend Moyles were then given a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ as they faced the ultimate skydive entrance.

Chris and Olivia had been enjoying their meal when they received some information, which read: ‘Olivia and Chris, we hope you enjoyed your meal. It’s now time to begin your journey into camp and as VIPs you’re going to get a taste of the high life by jumping out of a chopper at 10,000ft.’

Taking the plunge: The reality star and the radio legend were then given a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’ as they faced the ultimate skydive entrance

Chris said to Olivia: ‘You take me for a prawn and then in a helicopter – you’re a s*** date;’ as Olivia laughed: ‘It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. I just need to get back on safe ground in one piece – both boobs, all the veneers, everything.’

After completing the jump first, an emotional Olivia said: ‘Oh my god I’m crying, that’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever done, ever. That is incredible. Top 10 experience of my life. Just amazing.’

Taking in her surroundings she added: ‘I didn’t expect to be landing on a beach – where the hell are we?’

Olivia rose to fame on Love Island in 2017, where she coupled up with Chris Hughes , and has since fronted her own reality series, Olivia Meets Her Match starring her footballer fiancée, Bradley, as well as an ITV2 docu-series on the sex industry.

Olivia announced her engagement to Bradley in October 2019, sharing sweet snaps of the couple on a beach in Dubai after the footballer popped the question. She admitted prior to entering the jungle that sex would be the thing she will miss most in the outback.
