The finer details have emerged of last month’s nuptials between Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz as the newlyweds cover the June issue of British Vogue.
Brooklyn, 23, and Nicola, 27 – who sported matching custom Dior suits on the first night – tied the knot at the actress’s £76million sprawling family estate in a £3million wedding ceremony in April.
500 guests celebrated the high-profile couple saying, ‘I do’ – and witnessed Brooklyn’s famous father David asking his eldest son for forgiveness after dressing him in a miniature cowboy hat at his 1999 wedding to Victoria.

Posh and Beck’s wasn’t, however, the wedding that inspired the couple’s own, despite Nicola noting the day’s ‘iconic’ pictures.
‘Their wedding was incredible and those pictures are iconic, but the wedding we were most inspired by was Iman and David Bowie,’ the actress admitted.
Bates Motel star Nicola described her Valentino Haute Couture creation that she wore to marry Brooklyn as ‘a story’ – but unbeknownst to her, her mother, Claudia, had requested the seamstresses to sew in an evil eye to protect her.
Nicola’s mother also asked that they used baby-blue thread to subtly embroider: ‘Nicola, my heart. You are me, I am you. All my love, all my life, my beautiful girl, inside and out. Love, mom.’

The emotional bride revealed she was happy she didn’t learn of this finishing touch until after the ceremony as she just ‘burst into tears.’
Meanwhile, Brooklyn dwelled on the highlight of the whole day – a moment which left him breathless.
‘The highlight of the whole wedding for me was seeing her for the first time in that dress. It was the first time ever in my life when I felt like I couldn’t catch my breath,’ he recalled.
Music was a central part of their big day. British singer Sekou, 17, was joined by a full string orchestra and performed Songbird for Nicola’s walk down the aisle, while Lloyiso, an up-and-coming South African singer, performed Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love for the couple’s first dance.
Elsewhere, Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings was chosen for the father-daughter dance.

The soundtrack during the reception dinner was provided by a jazz quartet and a 12-piece live band, while diners enjoyed a menu prepared by Thierry Isambert Culinary & Event Design.
Halibut, filet mignon and a vegan osso buco were served, and with Nicola’s favourite fruit being dates, the head table featured centrepieces full of them.
For those who had worked up an appetite at the afterparty, they were presented with the option of cheeseburgers, fries and chicken nuggets from a Wendy’s food truck – an idea Brooklyn took the credit for.
In other proceedings, the rabbi accidentally referred to Brooklyn by his father’s name twice, while a reality TV star failed to notice the water feature surrounding the wedding aisle and ended up taking a dip up to his knees.
Inspiration: Posh and Beck’s wasn’t, however, the wedding that inspired the couple’s own, despite Nicola noting the day’s ‘iconic’ pictures. ‘The wedding we were most inspired by was Iman and David Bowie’,’ the actress admitted’ (the latter couple pictured in 1992)
Six hours before the evening wrapped up a 5am, a circular stage revolved and Marc Anthony appeared for a live set.
During this time, Brooklyn invited his mother on stage for a dance and they were joined by David and the couple’s 10-year-old daughter, Harper.
And the groom’s brothers – Romeo, 19, and 17-year-old Cruz – both hailed themselves as the better sibling before teasing Brooklyn about his loved-up social media posts.

To conclude the evening after Anthony’s set, a fourth tent of the night opened up, and inside was a pop-up nightclub with Victoria’s friend DJ Fat Tony on the decks.
The couple enjoyed a whirlwind romance after first going public with their budding relationship in November 2019 when pictures emerged of them hugging before getting engaged in July 2020, just eight months later.
While their relationship officially began in 2019, they actually first met in 2017 – with Brooklyn revealing during an Instagram Q&A with followers that they were originally introduced at the Coachella music festival in California – where Nicola admitted they didn’t get on at first.
So sweet: Bates Motel star Nicola described her Valentino Haute Couture creation that she wore to marry Brooklyn ‘a story’ – but unbeknownst to her, her mother, Claudia, had requested the seamstresses to sew in an evil eye to protect her
Of why they settled on 9 April as opposed to a summer wedding in 2021, Nicola said: ‘When the world was in lockdown, we went through different variations of what a wedding would look like. We weren’t sure if we should do a small one earlier and then a big party.
‘Eventually we decided we wanted the big wedding as soon as it was possible to do it safely. And we’re so happy we did. It was amazing to be in the presence of so many people we love again.’
Brooklyn added: ‘We didn’t realise how much we missed that.’
The June issue of British Vogue is available on newsstands and via digital download from Tuesday 24 May.
