‘We’re getting married tomorrow!’ Inside Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing’s wedding rehearsal as bride-to-be stuns in white mini dress while husband reunites with pal Spencer Matthews at lavish venue in Spain

  • The couple married in a legal ceremony at Chelsea Registry Office last month, and are due to say ‘I do’ for the second time this weekend

Jamie Laing and his wife Sophie Habboo looked loved-up as he kissed his bride on the cheek ahead of their second wedding in Spain on Friday.

The former Made In Chelsea stars could be standing arm-in-arm as they posed next to the pool in the grounds of Sotogrande, the largest privately owned residential development in Andalusia during the rehearsals for their nuptials, with an Instagram snap captioned: ‘We’re getting married tomorrow.’

Reality personalities Sophie, 29, and Jamie, 34, got married in front of their loved ones at Chelsea Registry Office in London last month and they are due to say ‘I do’ for a second time this weekend.

Earlier in the day, Sophie cut a glamorous figure as she posed ahead the rehearsal while her husband Jamie was reunited with his good pal Spencer Matthews at the event, after he failed to attend his legal nuptials.

Taking to Instagram, Sophie’s entrepreneur friend Georgie Le Roux shared a picture of the bride looking stunning in a shimmering gold dress with a thigh-high split.

Sophie later changed into a white minidress with a bow at the back while she carried a matching handbag and some pearl drop earrings, while she held a celebratory drink in her hand.

In another picture shared by a pal on Instagram, Jamie could be seen flashing a broad grin as he posed with Spencer after it was previously revealed he was disappointed over not being invited to Jamie’s first wedding in the UK.

Before changing into her wedding dress, Sophie could be seen posing with her bridesmaids in the lush gardens at the property.

The ladies later glammed up for the evening, with Sophie posing for a picture as she had a mani-pedi in preparation.

Last month, Sophie looked gorgeous in a short silk white gown, bow veil and sunglasses for her London nuptials – ahead of the second ceremony in Spain.

The pair exchanged Delaval Knight 18k yellow gold wedding rings, with the date engraved inside to mark the moment.

Sophie wowed in an off-the-shoulder £3,865 Vivienne Westwood dress with a corset design called the The Mini Cora Cocotte – inspired by the seminal Cocotte shape, which she teamed with a £60 Gigi & Olive veil.

The dress was first created for the 21st birthday of Vivienne’s granddaughter – Cora Corré, as a full length gown.

The design showed off her toned and tanned legs and was accessorised with a Sophia Webster ‘wifey for lifey’ clutch bag.

The blonde beauty – who got engaged to Jamie in December 2021 after they started dating in April 2019 – completed the look with matching Jimmy Choo white heels.

She wore her blonde tresses in loose waves while choosing glowing makeup for the big day.

Minutes earlier Jamie had arrived in a smart navy suit and crisp white shirt. As he left the ceremony he wore shades.

Jamie and Sophie were joined by family and friends at the wedding including Sophie’s sister Georgia and mother and father as well as Jamie’s mother and sister.

However, Jamie’s pal Spencer Matthews was not in attendance at the UK nuptials after it was claimed Jamie ‘forgot’ to invite his good pal.

Spencer’s wife Vogue Williams later told how she had never seen Spencer so upset after learning is presence was not requested.

But on Thursday, Spencer insisted there were no hard feelings between him and Jamie.

Spencer, who said he is ‘so proud’ of his pal, is serving as MC for Jamie’s second wedding ceremony.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain, Spencer insisted Jamie’s first wedding in Chelsea was a small, intimate affair and his second wedding in Spain will have a bigger guest list.

Venue: Preparations were underway at Sotogrande on Friday ahead of Sophie and Jamie’s second wedding

Grand: The sprawling property can be seen with the air, including the lush gardens and swimming pool

Peaceful: The wedding guests were able to enjoy a beautifully landscaped garden at the property during the rehearsal dinner

Asked if he was upset at not being in attendance, Spencer said: ‘I wasn’t ever supposed to be. I was away at the time and I think that ceremony grew in size quite late in the day, it was supposed to be a small, intimate thing.’

Good Morning Britain co-host Ben Shepherd asked: ‘Did Jamie forget to invite you essentially?’

Spencer replied: ‘I think he kind of did. He thought I was away. He didn’t think it was that big of a deal. I would have come obviously but whatever, it is what it is.

‘The big day is this weekend, I’m master of ceremonies. I’m looking forward to it.’

Spencer, who was part of the original cast of Made In Chelsea with Jamie, added: ‘I’m very proud of Jamie, we’re very close and I’m really happy for him.’

It comes after Sophie blamed Jamie for the fact Spencer was not in attendance, saying it was ‘so stupid’ that he forgot to invite him.

The couple originally planned for the day to be an intimate affair with close family.

But in the run-up to saying their vows, Sophie confessed that she extended the guest-list, inviting her bridesmaids and Jamie’s groomsmen plus their partners to the event while Spencer and his wife Vogue Williams were holidaying in Portugal so unable to attend following the last minute change.

Sophie told MailOnline: ‘Obviously Spencer will be at our Spanish wedding.

‘The drama with Spencer… it was so stupid of Jamie, he’s just so disorganised and it all just changed last minute.

‘Originally it was just close family and obviously Spencer was away. I felt so bad for both of them, and Jamie felt so awful.

‘Both of us are so unorganised and it was always supposed to be a really intimate and small wedding but last minute we changed it.

‘Essentially it was my bridesmaids and his best men and then two of our best friends who are pregnant and can’t make the Spanish wedding, so it looked like there were a lot more people and there was.

Pals: Spencer has insisted there are no hard feelings between him and best friend Jamie after he didn’t get an invite to his wedding to Sophie

‘It was never going to be that many people. Spencer was in Portugal when we decided last minute, and Jamie didn’t even think really.

‘Obviously, we would have loved him there and it was a silly error.’

After saying ‘I do’, Jamie and Sophie were the picture of happiness as they emerged from Chelsea Registry Office hand in hand wearing their designer shades, beaming with excitement as they were met with a flurry of confetti.

And Sophie said the experience was ‘euphoric,’ admitting all her nerves about the big day quickly evaporated and she feels a new sense of calmness as Jamie’s wife.
