Janet Jackson announced on her Instagram that she will be releasing her new single along with an accompanying music video this Friday. Her latest single “Made For Now” also features Puerto-Rican reggaeton Daddy Yankee.
“From my lips…#MadeForNow with @daddyyankee 8/17,” she wrote on Instagram.
“The song is meant to move people to enjoy their lives and seize opportunities today, not worry or wait until tomorrow,” she said in a statement, according to Essence.
Jackson also plans to perform the song for the first time live with Daddy Yankee on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon at 11:35 p.m. EST on Friday.
“Made For Now” is produced by Harmony Samuels.
Earlier this summer, the two stars were spotted filming with Grammy-Award winning director Dave Meyers in the streets of Brooklyn. Fans have been speculating about the new project ever since the photos surfaced. The music video features a contingent of international dancers from Ghana, Nigeria, Grenada, Trinidad and the U.S.
