Jesy Nelson gives rare insight into new life after Little Mix as she talks ‘chilling’ film

Little Mix: Charley Webb discusses Jesy Nelson’s exit

Former Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson announced publicly she had left the group on December 14 . The 29-year-old explained that part of her reasoning behind her sudden exit after nine years in the group was to focus on her mental health.

The singer now appears to be taking her own advice, swapping red carpet events and studio sessions for a more relaxed lifestyle at home.

Taking to Instagram today, Jesy shared a candid story while spending time catching up on true crime documentaries.

She posted a short clip of her TV screen preparing to play the 2019 film I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth Vs. Michelle Carter.

The two-part documentary film follows an American girl who stands trial for sending aggressive texts to her boyfriend, before he was found dead in his car. It is based on the death of Conrad Roy six years ago.

The singer, who rose to fame on The X Factor in 2011, has posted the odd update since her exit from Little Mix.

Jesy recently took to the picture-sharing site and shared a stunning snap from her bed.

The talent show winner appeared to go makeup-free in the topless shot.

With her dark tresses in loose waves swept over her shoulder, the singer admitted she had just woken up.

Jesy penned: “Just woke up wbu?”(sic)

Meanwhile, her former bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall have vowed to remain a group.

The trio posted their first snap together on Christmas Day.

It comes after Jesy posted an emotional message following her departure from the band.

It read: “I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

“I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy.”

Jesy explained that life in a group had taken its “toll on my mental health”.

The remaining Little Mix members said: “After an amazing nine years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix.

“This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy.

“We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being.”

They added: “We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the three of us are not ready for it to be over.”
