‘I’ll never rule it out’: Jesy Nelson reveals she’s open-minded about being in a relationship with a woman after splitting from ex Sean Sagar

She split from her now ex-boyfriend Sean Sagar earlier this year.

And Jesy Nelson has revealed she’s open-minded about being in a relationship with a woman following her recent breakup.

The former Little Mix star, 30, said in an interview with The Guardian on Saturday: ‘I’ll never rule it out, I’ll just say that.’

Jesy explained that she identifies as hetrosexual and loves men’s ‘muscles and smell’, but would never say never when it comes to a same-sex romance. 

She told the newspaper: ‘I wish I liked women, I really do. I said that to my sister the other day because she’s gay.’

‘I said, ‘Jade, I wish I loved women’, and she was like, ‘Well, just try it – you never know’. And I said, ‘No, I love men too much’.’

‘I just love the way men smell, I love muscles, and women don’t have that, do they?’

Jesy’s most recent high profile relationship was with Our Girl actor Sean Sean, but the two split in January after nine months of dating. 

The former Little Mix singer admitted it was the first relationship where she had been ‘kept on her toes’, as she revealed previous boyfriends have treated her like a ‘princess’.

Jesy explained that she typically got ‘bored’ in these relationships and ended up viewing her partner as more of a friend. 

After their breakup, Sean ‘liked’ a string of glamorous snaps online, including of Too Hot To Handle star Nicole O’Brien and model Yasmeen Falck.

Before dating Sean, Jesy dated dancer Jordan Banjo, Rixton lead singer Jake Roche, musician Harry James and Love Island star Chris Hughes.

Her interview with the platform came just days after Jesy was spotted in Essex with her ex-boyfriend Harry James, who she dated for 16 months and split from in 2018. 

Jesy reunited with Harry to go on a casual shopping trip at a local hardware store last weekend.

However, the star’s Jesy representatives confirmed to MailOnline that she and Harry are just friends.

After leaving Little Mix, Jesy accepted a solo record deal with Polydor Records and her debut single Boyz will be released in early September.

Earlier this month Jesy teased fans with the first snippet of her solo work after deleting all of her previous Instagram posts.

In the clip, the singer told her followers to prepare themselves for her ‘new chapter’ and says she has ‘made the music I always wanted to make’. 

‘For me, this is the music I’ve always wanted to make,’ she said.

‘I don’t think anyone is going to expect it, this is a new chapter for me.

‘If you genuinely believe something enough to happen, you can make it happen, you have to manifest it.’
