Kaia Gerber and Jacob Elordi go red carpet official after ONE YEAR of dating at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Opening Gala in Los Angeles

Kaia Gerber and Jacob Elordi made their very first red carpet appearance at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Opening Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday evening.

The 20-year-old social media personality and her boyfriend, 24, appeared to be enjoying each other’s company as they posed together for several shots before the actor stepped away to let his girlfriend enjoy the spotlight.

The pair’s attendance at the Gala marks the first time that the happy couple has appeared at a red carpet event in each other’s company.

Gerber wore a sparkling bright yellow dress that covered up much of her shapely form while spending time with her boyfriend.

The model, whose parents are Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, also sported a matching set of high-heeled shoes that matched her outfit.

She accessorized with numerous rings and a single necklace as she posed for several shots.

Her beautiful brunette locks were primarily tied back into a lovely bun, with two long strands running down onto her face.

Elordi kept it classy at the event, as he opted for a form-fitting black tuxedo that contrasted well with his girlfriend’s outfit.

The happy couple was initially spotted in each other’s company last September when they were seen at various locations in New York City and Los Angeles.

Prior to becoming involved with his current partner, the actor was romantically linked to his Euphoria costar Zendaya, although they split around March of last year.

Gerber was also connected to comedian Pete Davidson, and the two went their separate ways last January after a brief romance.

After the two were first seen together in public, they joined the model’s parents during a trip to Mexico last September.

The pair made several other public appearances upon their return to the United States, and they were spotted kissing last October, seemingly confirming that they were dating. 

A source spoke to Us at the time and noted that the two were thoroughly enjoying their newfound romance. 

The insider also expressed that the model’s ‘family thinks [Elordi] is a stand-up guy and a breath of fresh air.’

A separate insider also spoke to Us in April and expressed that while the two were having a good time together, they were taking things slowly at first.  

‘Kaia and Jacob are enjoying being a couple right now…They’re not rushing into anything serious like an engagement,’ they said.

The source went on to express that the couple’s relationship was founded on a genuine interest in one another and that they respected each other’s professional boundaries.

‘They’re young and want to experience life together. They’re lovers and also best friends. They’re always together when they don’t have work commitments,’ they stated.
