Sleep with Kate, which features the star lying in bed, has already attracted online auction bids of £11,000.

Kate looks radiant in the clip as she lies in bed with her arms above her head and her locks falling loose down her shoulders.

Speaking about the artwork, Kate said: ‘Art for me has always been about the moment. Time is the thing that there is never enough of.

‘And that waits for no one; I’m intrigued by who will want to own a moment of mine.

Important cause: The model, 47, is the star attraction of three video artworks being auctioned for Gurls Talk, a mental health charity (pictured in 2019)

‘I was also drawn to the idea that this ownership can be used to help others in need hopefully gain more of it. I look forward to seeing this experiment through.’

NFTs (non-fungible tokens) is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger called a blockchain and are used to represent files such as video, audio and photos.

While anyone can view the two-second clip online, only the winning bidder will receive the video and an audio certification recorded by Kate herself.

The buyer will also be recognised in a social post on @KateMossAgency and part of the profit will go to Adwoa Aboah’s Gurl’s Talk, which provides resources and a safe space for women and girls, imparting mental health support, underlining the need for us all to take a moment in time.

It comes after Kate reflected on enduring ‘intimidating’ photoshoots in her early modelling career and revealed that teen models are often pressured into posing nude in a new interview.

The supermodel, who was first scouted as a model in 1988 at age 14, admitted she felt ‘terribly uncomfortable’ during many shoots in her youth, explaining that some photographers will only work with models who agree to ‘a nude element.’

Kate told Reader’s Digest: ‘There were many shoots in the early days where I felt terribly uncomfortable.’

Explaining how it’s typical for a model to start their career at a young age, she said: ‘That was the case with me, but even so there were some photographers who wouldn’t agree to shoot you unless there was a nude element.

‘That was very common then and still is now. For a very young woman that could be incredibly intimidating.’

Kate become synonymous with the ‘heroin chic’ aesthetic of the 1990s due to her skinny frame and pale skin, but branded the term ‘awful with no positive interpretation’.

She added that her natural frame meant she was always ‘thin and small’ no matter what she ate, as she slammed similar criticism of lithe models in the present day.

Kate also said that her frame had changed after welcoming her daughter Lila Grace in 2002.

The auction opens on Tuesday April 13 at 2pm and stays open for 24 hours.
