I don’t really feel sorry for Katherine Schwarzenegger, do you? She threw herself in Chris Pratt’s path, they had a brief courtship and a quick engagement. They married without much fanfare, she got pregnant quickly and she “gave” him a “healthy daughter,” according to him. I think Katherine did exactly what she wanted, and she executed her plan perfectly. She wanted to be married to a big movie star and create her own lifestyle brand or whatever, and she did just that. But yeah, her marriage sounds like it sucks, and Chris Pratt sounds like a sh-tty husband and a sh-tty person. Katherine did Us Weekly’s “25 Things You Don’t Know About –” feature and the uncomfortable admissions and red flags leapt off the page. Here are just some of Katherine’s little factoids:
Fall is my favorite time of year.
I watch makeup tutorials at night on YouTube.
I talk to my sister [Christina Schwarzenegger] multiple times a day on the phone, even though we only live 10 minutes from each other.
One of the most romantic things my husband [Chris Pratt] has ever done for me is hang all our Christmas lights in November.
I order off the children’s menu when I go out to dinner.
I enjoy waking up early and having morning time with my daughter [Lyla, 15 months].
I also enjoy going to bed early. I’m secretly a senior citizen.
During the pandemic, I learned to color my own hair and tint my own eyebrows.
My mom [Maria Shriver] is the first phone call I make every day.
I laughed so much when my husband and I started dating that he thought I had an uncontrollable laughing illness and that [it was the reason] why I was still single.
I’m grateful for all of the strict rules my dad [Arnold Schwarzenegger] had for us kids growing up.
After I put my daughter to sleep, I often look at pictures of her on my phone and am tempted to go wake her up because I miss her.
One of the best compliments I received this year was from my stepson, Jack. He told me my cooking has improved a lot from when I burned his Bagel Bites!
I like matching outfits with my daughter.
I love doing laundry. It soothes me.
We didn’t find out if we were having a boy or a girl when I was pregnant [with Lyla].
[From US Weekly]
“I laughed so much when my husband and I started dating that he thought I had an uncontrollable laughing illness and that [it was the reason] why I was still single….” Oh, girl. We’ve all been there, laughing at a guy’s jokes too hard when we’re trying to impress him. And what he’s really thinking is “oh God, THAT is why she’s still single.” The thing that annoyed me the most on her list? “I order off the children’s menu when I go out to dinner.” FFS. And please, don’t come into the comments with “I order off the kids’ menu too, don’t judge her!” Again, FFS. If you are a grown-up, order from the adults’ menu. If it’s too much food, take home a doggy bag. It’s that f–king simple. Most of the time, the kids’ menu is just chicken nuggets and French fries anyway!! Katherine is one of those women – “look at me, I eat like a bird, I’m so delicate, I always order off the kids’ menu!” GMAFB. Stop infantalizing yourself.
