Katie Price set to sign up for Celebs On The Farm in a "desperate" money bid

Katie Price is keeping her options up and thinking of ways to quickly increase her struggling finances after being made bankrupt last month.

In a bid to tackle her spiralling debt and financial woes, the former glamour model, 41, is reportedly in talks to sign up to the latest series of Celebs On The Farm.

According to Sun Online , the reality TV star plans to impress people with how "hands-on she is" and thinks her knowledge of farm life would stand her in good stead on the show.

A source recently told the publication: "Katie really wants to kick off 2020 with a bang and is desperate to start earning big money again."

The source continued: "She has lived on a farm so she could surprise people with how hands-on she is."

Channel 5 series Celebs On The Farm sees celebrities getting down and dirty in the countryside and learning how to clean pigsties and muck hay in a fierce competition against a line-up of other stars.

Previous series of the show have seen celebrities swap the comfort of their designer clothes and Range Rovers for flat caps and tractors as they take on day-to-day life on a farm.

Viewers watch as stars take on a series of challenges such as handling farm animals and carrying out general maintenance – under the supervision head farmer Chris Jeffery.

As celebrities battle to win the ‘Best in Show’ rosette, contestants get eliminated and sent back to their day jobs if they fail to impress leaving a Celebs On The Farm winner remaining.

Celebrities who have competed in the farm show in the past include former TOWIE stars Megan McKenna and James 'Arg' Argent as well as Love Island's Hayley Hughes and ex Strictly professional Artem Chigvintsev.

Katie's attempt to get on the show comes as she was declared bankrupt last month after failing to settle debts estimated at £800,000.

The Sunday People then revealed that the former glamour model would face a bleak Christmas after she lost her £2million 'Mucky Mansion'.

Land Registry documents seen by the Sunday People confirmed the Pricey had to sign her 11-bed mansion over to her trustee.

Katie is now thought to be living with on/off boyfriend Kris Boyson, 30, at his home in Kent for a few days a week and crashing with family and friends the rest of the time.

Katie reportedly blew her entire £45million fortune over the years, splurging on cosmetic surgery, designer clothes and lavish procedures.

She failed to keep up with her agreed £12,000 montly repayments and bank accounts were frozen and a trustee was appointed to work out what assets they can sell to pay off her debts.

Katie didn't bother to turn up in person to court or send a lawyer to fight her corner in regards to her finances.

She has been packing in several public appearances around the country to try to make some extra cash – but a rumoured stint on Celebs On The Farm is bound to give her a financial boost.

The news of her suggested new venture comes after she also reportedly signed a whopping six figure sum for a new series of her reality TV show, My Crazy Life.

Quest Red have signed her on for a fourth series, which is set to follow her and her tumultuous love life with her on/off boyfriend Kris Boyson.
