Kim Kardashian West has filed to be legally single and have her maiden name restored as the divorce process from Kanye West rolls on.

The 41-year-old SKIMS mogul filed the legal documents on Friday which will make her legally a single woman if signed off by a judge according to TMZ.

Perhaps the most interesting thing is that Kim wants her maiden name restored which means dropping West despite her businesses like KKW Beauty and KKW fragrance using her married initials.

This comes hours after Kanye begged Kim ‘run right back to me’ amid their divorce during a Free Larry Hoover concert on Thursday night which his estranged wife attended.

The legal move is basically asking the judge to separate the issues of child custody, property, and financial implications from actual marital status. 

As Kim has enlisted celebrity attorney Laura Wasser, the decision to separate marital status from other issues not out of the ordinary for the lawyer who has worked plenty of other celebrity clientele.

The latest public plea for her to take him back has not seemed to work on Kardashian as a source told People on Friday that the SKIMS mogul ‘has moved on’ but ‘she knows it’s difficult for Kanye to deal with.

‘She isn’t surprised that he pleads in public for her to run back to him. She is just trying to be respectful about it.’  

Just weeks ago Ye made a similar public plea as famously said that God will reunite him and estranged wife Kim as he admitted he’d made ‘mistakes’ in his marriage while serving meals at the LA Mission for Thanksgiving.

‘I have to be next to my children as much as possible,’ he said. ‘So, when I’m out the house, I’ve got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation.’

The Grammy-winner added, ‘I’m trying to express this in the most sane way, the most calm way possible, but I need to be back home.’

Kim officially filed for divorce in February following months of rumors surrounding the state of their marriage.

The couple were married for over six years  as they officially tied the knot in Florence, Italy back in May 2014.

No doubt it will take some time to figure out how the assets will be split between the two parties. 

Kim and Kanye purchased their Hidden Hills residence for $20 million in 2014, but did not move in until 2018 after investing $40 million in renovations.

An insider revealed to Page Six earlier this year that Kim reportedly owns the land, but Kanye owns the actual house.

Regardless of the monetary situation regarding the properties, Kanye does not have to worry so much about cash as in April he was officially declared a billionaire.

A Forbes Magazine article published on April 23 revealed how the rapper recently provided documents to the publication, giving them an ‘authentic numeric look into Kanye, Inc.’ to prove the feat.

However, the article notes that West was left unhappy with their research and findings – stating that he believes his net worth to be around $3.3 billion, rather than the $1.26 billion they have estimated.

 ‘It’s not a billion,’ West allegedly texted the publication Thursday night. ‘It’s $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.’

Kardashian also achieved billionaire status as in April she was named 2674th on the list of Forbes Billionaires.
