Lori Loughlin goes casual in a lavender tracksuit for a gas station pit stop… after she returned to acting following college admissions scandal

She’s getting back into the swing of things by making her return to acting after serving a prison sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal.

But Lori Loughlin didn’t give any hints about her return to the small screen when she was spotted looking casual and relaxed at a gas station in Los Angeles on Friday.

The 57-year-old Full House star looked comfortable in a set of purple sweats as she filled up her luxury Range Rover.

Taking it easy: Lori Loughlin, 57, looked low key in a purple sweatsuit as she filled up her Range Rover at a gas station in Los Angeles on Friday

Lori looked at ease in a lavender zip-up jacket that went up nearly to her chin.

She paired it with a set of lilac FREECITY sweatpants and rounded out her low-key look with black flip flops.

The actress blocked out the sun with a pair of aviator sunglasses, and she kept her brunette hair tied up in a messy bun.

She also kept a navy floral-print mask with her, which she wore when she stepped inside the attached convenience store while carrying a large tan handbag.

Lori also took the opportunity to clean up her luxury SUV a bit.

She wiped down the windshield and had to open the passenger door and stand in the vehicle to reach all the way across it.

In December, the mother of Olivia Jade Giannulli will make her return to television on the GAC Family series When Hope Calls.

The show is a spin-off of Lori’s old Hallmark Channel show When Calls The Heart, and she’ll be reprising her role as Abigail Stanton from that earlier series in the second season premiere on December 18.

After Loughlin was charged in the 2019 Varsity Blues scandal, she was fired from When Calls The Heart and barred from other Hallmark shows and movies, and her previously filmed scenes for the show were edited out.

However, Loughlin seems to have been invited back into the family-friendly sister-series, and When Calls The Heart’s creator has previously hinted that she might return to the flagship series.

Lori and her husband Mossimo Giannulli found themselves in hot water in 2019 after they were accused of paying bribes to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose into the University of Southern California.

Both parents admitted to paying $500,000 to help get their daughters admitted to USC as recruits to the rowing team, though neither had any experience with the sport.

More than 50 people were later charged as part of the college admissions scandal investigation, which found that more than 30 people had paid over $25 million to William Rick Singer to inflate their children’s exam scores and to bribe college admissions officials.

Several high-profile individuals were wrapped up in the investigation, including Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman, who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest service mail fraud and was sentenced for 14 days in prison.

Lori was sentenced to two months in prison after she changed her plea to guilty for a single felony count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud.

Mossimo pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud, which earned him five months in prison.

He ended up getting a break when prison officials allowed him to finish the final two weeks of his sentence on house arrest

In October, a source told Us Weekly that Lori had ‘privately arranged to put two students through four years of college’ in an effort to ‘put the past behind her,’ and had paid $500,000 to do so.

The source added that the actress is hoping to ‘be allowed to move on’ in the wake of the scandal, as she feels ‘this stigma attached to her by people who don’t want her to have any success.’

‘She has served her time in jail and completed her probation, community service and paid all of her court fines.’
