Rosie Kelly Smith, Lorraine Kelly’s daughter, has left her fans confused after posting what looked like an engagement ring onto her Instagram page.

The star took to her social media page on Thursday 16 February to share a snap of her gorgeous new manicure, but fans were quick to spot her ring placement.

Rosie captioned the photo: “Skipped spring and went straight for hot pink”.

Her TV star mum Lorraine replied to the snap labelling her new nails as “lovely”, while someone else said of her manicure: “Adore these! Beautiful colour”.

However, someone else was quick to notice which finger her ring was on and queried if she’s engaged.

“Omg are you engaged?” they asked.

Dodging the question, Rosie tagged a friend below the comment and simply wrote “lol”.

It’s unclear if the podcast host is dating anyone, but Rosie may be too busy for love at the moment after recently purchasing a “doer-upper” home for over £800,000 last year.

Rosie bought the two bedroom property in Islington, London, in November and has big renovation plans for the flat.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Rosie posed for a snap in front of her soon-to-be home and a ‘sold’ sign.

“Finally [key emoji],” she began. “It’ll be a long time until Ruby and I move in as we’ve got a bit of a doer-upper!

"So this is a warning that this page is about to be full of interiors and constant questions on my stories about what handle I should pick."

She went on to be inundated with congratulations following her huge milestone by the likes of Craig David, doting mum Lorraine, and TV doctor, Dr Amir.

Rosie has a close bond with her mum Lorraine with the pair working together on their podcast, What If.

They’ve also starred on Celebrity Gogglebox together.

Lorraine has previously shared some behind the scenes secrets about the show and revealed that they’re provided with wine and snacks while filming.

Talking on Kate Thornton's podcast, White Wine Question Time, Lorraine said: “The crew come and put the telly down, they bring snacks and wine – it’s fantastic.

“They turn up and there’s a hamper, and they put this hamper on your kitchen table and then they say ‘help yourself’.”

Lorraine also said it’s “great” to spend time with her daughter.

“You’re sitting there on your sofa and we just sit there and laugh,” she shared.

"We’re just doing what we would do when we binge Game Of Thrones or any other show in the house.”

Rosie is Lorraine’s only child, whom she shares with husband Steve Smith.
