Love Island’s Ched Uzor says he’s ‘not in a relationship’ with Jess Gale but insists he ‘likes’ her

Ched Uzor has admitted he and Jess Gale are "not in a relationship" after leaving the Love Island villa together.

The 23 year old spoke out about his situation with the blonde beauty on Secure The Insecure podcast, where host Johnny Seifert asked him to talk about life after being on the hit ITV dating show.

"So we came out and we had, as you can imagine, interviews to do together. We were up and down, we were in London, we were in Manchester," he started.

However, Ched and 21 year old Jess, who was recently spotted enjoying her daily one hour of exercise with her twin Eve, weren't able to spend face-to-face time with each other for long.

Soon after they returned from Cape Town in South Africa the UK went into lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic and the pair were left isolating apart.

He continued: "So, I spent time with her, I spent two weeks with her and then I came home on the Friday and by the following Monday we were in lockdown.

"She was in lockdown in London with her sister and I was obviously in Suffolk with my family. So we haven't really seen each other."

While they still talk everyday, the reality star admitted that he feels like they've "lost" something as they're unable to see one another in person.

"We voice note everyday. It's just harder, because you feel like you've lost – I don't know, obviously when you don't see someone you feel like you're not as close."

Ched was then asked if he felt like perhaps they had reverted to being "just good friends" as opposed to being a relationship.

The star replied: "I feel like it's just something we need to discuss obviously after the lockdown is over, because right now we just talk everyday.

"We just talk about random topics, but I wouldn't say… We don't really have romantic conversations. But yeah, I like Jess."

Asked what they label each other as at the moment, he continued: "I'd say we're just talking, we're just seeing each other, seeing how things go. Not in a relationship though.

"If it works out, it works out. But, at the moment, we're not doing everything we want to be doing to be able to be in a relationship."
