Love Island’s Laura Crane reveals five year battle with Bulimia

Love Island ‘s Laura Crane has bravely opened up about her secret five year battle with bulimia.

The reality TV star revealed she developed the eating disorder when she was 16-years-old and it left her ‘f*cked up.’

Speaking to Stab magazine , professional surfer Laura admitted she was left feeling totally ‘out of control" for years.

"I became bulimic at 16. I was 21 when I got better. I’m 23 now. Sooo much healthier," she said.

"I was really, really unhappy and that’s the thing I want to get across – that you can be living the most amazing life through Instagram but behind closed doors, people have no idea what you’re going through," said Laura.

"Mentally and physically. An eating disorder is a mental illness. It f**ks you up in the head and it shows.

"You can’t control things and when you feel that out of control, it becomes the only thing you have control over. So you just hang onto it. It’s hard to let go, but once you do you get your life back," she shared.

Sporty Laura told how she’d learnt to accept her figure after discovering her passion for surfing.

"I’m a surfer. I’m an athlete. That’s me. and with that you can also be and feel beautiful. I’m built like this because of surfing, and that’s what I love to do,"said Laura

This summer Laura found fame – as well as romance – as a late arrival to the Love Island villa.

The blonde beauty coupled up with ‘new’ Jack Fowler and the pair have continued their relationship weeks after the show’s finale.

They were last spotted together attending world premiere for new comedy The Festival.

Laura turned heads on the green carpet in an eye popping pink trouser suit and black crop top.

While Jack was looking suave in a pair of slim-fit grey trousers and a crisp white shirt.
