Madonna, 63, takes to the stage in a sheer pink dress and fishnets for raunchy encore with Maluma at his rapturous homecoming show in Colombia

Madonna was still buzzing on Monday morning as she thanked fans for her rapturous welcome at Columbian singer Maluma’s all-star homecoming show in Medellín.

The pop legend, 63, was in the South American city for a special encore appearance at the live event, where she honoured an earlier promise to perform live with Maluma, real name Juan Luis Londoño Arias.

Taking to the stage at Estadio Atanasio Girardot, the pair duetted on the appropriately titled track Medellín – their collaboration from Madonna’s 2019 LP Madame X – as well as her iconic 2000 hit Music.

The event, streamed live on Amazon Prime Video, served as a reunion of sorts for the two singers after their previous live performance at the Billboard Awards in 2019.

Madonna also promised to make an appearance at one of Maluma’s shows as they interviewed each other for Rolling Stone magazine’s Musicians On Musicians edition in 2021 – during which he admitted the pop veteran helped shape his career.

Responding to the admission, she told him: ‘Watch out, I’m going to come see your show! It better be good.’

The performer has been busy working on a biopic of her life and recently revealed she was holding auditions for the highly-anticipated project.

Madonna announced last September that she is co-directing and co-writing the forthcoming film, which she has described as a ‘visual autobiography.’

Erin Cressida Wilson, an American playwright known for the films Secretary and The Girl On The Train, is reportedly working on the script with Madonna, according to NME.

Diablo Cody, who won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2007 for Juno, had originally been selected to pen the script, but she dropped out of the project last year.
