Madonna shares shots from family’s Africa trip where they embarked on an afternoon safari before dancing ‘under the full moon’

Madonna and all six of her children are clearly enjoying their family trip to Africa.

And on Saturday, the 64-year-old Material Girl singer took fans along as she and her brood embarked on a safari that included incredible animal sightings and a rest in the grass.

That evening, Madonna revealed that they enjoyed a memorable moonlight dance session, with the legendary pop star showcasing some wild choreography.

In the footage, which was shared to Instagram, Madonna is seen with her children David, Mercy, Stelle and Estere at their campsite in the evening while a fire raged behind them.

David, 17, wore a light blue turtleneck while the Like A Virgin hitmaker wore a long red garment and tall black knee-high boots. 

Her son, 22-year-old Rocco Ritchie, did a backflip while wearing a pastel yellow crewneck sweater. 

Meanwhile, Mercy, 16, donned a green dress with a plaid pattern and layered up with a black sweater.

Madonna’s Back That Up To The Beat played over the clip which she captioned ‘Dancing under the full moon with the Masai and good music’ followed by a string of emojis. 

While it’s not totally clear what she meant by ‘Masai,’ it’s possible she misspelled ‘Maasai.’

The Maasai are an ethnic tribe in Kenya, the flag of which appeared in her caption in the form of an emoji.

Madonna also shared a number of photo to her Instagram Story, including one where she wore a long blue garment and a big safari hat while relaxing in a chair.

A follow-up snap that was captured during the safari showed a cheetah lounging in the brush.

The group took a brief nap under a shady tree during their long ride through the African plains, which was documented in several photos.

Madonna has kept busy during her trip to Africa with her family. On Tuesday, the seven-time Grammy winner posted videos pictures and videos of her working to create a mesmerizing mosaic with her kids at SHOFCO Kibera School of Girls.

She shared images with her ‘new friends’ as well as pictures from an art gallery, women’s empowerment center and a library.

Another picture showed Madonna from behind looking over the city with ‘Dream big 2023’ on it.

‘Being schooled by the children @ministryoftomorrow,’ she captioned one image at the school, in addition to a video from her visit, in which she mingled with some children

During her visit, she wore a wide-brimmed hat, graphic sweatshirt, baggy shorts over black tights, oversized shades and and red hair in two braids.

The Like A Virgin singer rang in 2023 in Malawi with her 17-year-old son David, 16-year-old daughter Mercy and 10-year-old twins Stelle and Estere.

David, Mercy, Stelle and Estere were all born in Malawi and later adopted by the Material Girl singer.

She has two other children as well: Rocco and 26-year-old Lourdes Leon, who she shares with Carlos Leon.
