MAFS UK’s Morag Crichton is told to commit suicide by sick trolls after Josh Christie row… as co-star pal Tayah Victoria insists her DM-sliding exposé was SET-UP by producers
Married at First Sight UK’s Morag Crichton has revealed sick online trolls have demanded she commit suicide amid her dramatic on-screen rows.
The veterinary nurse, 31, who is married to Luke Dawson, 36, has been at the centre of the E4 show’s drama after she informed Amy Christophers, 34, that her husband Josh Christie, 26, had messaged her on social media in the past.
Following a bitter backlash over the exposé – which caused Amy to storm out of Monday night’s dinner party – fellow star Tayah Victoria took to Instagram to insist that producers goaded Morah into revealing the history.
Shock: Married at First Sight UK’s Morag Crichton has revealed sick online trolls have demanded she commit suicide amid the show’s drama
The show’s final dinner party descended into chaotic screaming match when Morag branded Joshua a ‘f****** liar’ for saying he didn’t remember sliding into her DMs.
Monday’s show saw contestants tasked with penning their thoughts on another couple in the group, with it soon causing a lot of drama and also the resurfacing of the DM sliding that Morag revealed at last week’s girls and boys days.
And while voices were raised with many couples offended by their letters the drama reached a boiling point when Morag again brought up that Joshua had previously contacted her and liked multiple Instagram photos years ago.
Despite Morag’s friend and Joshua’s wife Amy saying she ‘didn’t care’ about the previous contact, the argument blew up with many of the contestants storming off.
Beef: The veterinary nurse, 31, who is married to Luke Dawson, 36, has been at the centre of the E4 show’s drama after she informed Amy Christophers, 34, that her husband Josh Christie, 26, had messaged her on social media in the past
Fellow contestants said they ‘didn’t believe’ he DMed her with Ant Poole branding her an ‘attention seeker’ just looking for drama, while viewers branded her ‘arrogant’ and ‘egotistical’ with one writing: ‘Morag is hurt Joshua doesn’t remember her’.
Following on from the scenes, Tayah took to Instagram to clarify that Morag had not merely announced out of thin air that Josh had messaged her – and it was in fact prompted by producers in manipulated scenes on last week’s show.
She penned: ‘I can’t not say anything about this any longer. Morag was asked a question at the girls day, we had cards with questions on when we were playing “Never Have I Ever”…
‘Morag was asked if someone else’s husband had DM’ed them, this whole situation didn’t get drawn out of nowhere. I wish everyone could see how amazing Morag is, she will forever be a close friend of mine.’
Bold: Following a bitter backlash over the exposé – which caused Amy to storm out of Monday night’s dinner party – fellow star Tayah Victoria took to Instagram to insist that producers goaded Morah into revealing the history
Following on from Tayah’s words, Morag then revealed her unpleasant exchange with the troll, who sent her the vile demand.
Morag shared a screenshot of a message from an Instagram user in response to one of her stories, with the user penning: ‘Kill yourself’. Morag penned: ‘Morning’ with a praising hands emoji alongside.
She then posted a legion of supportive messages from fans and friends reading: ‘Why are people so mean nowadays? No one deserves hate like this…
‘Everyone has common sense and should know they only show the bits that have extra drama in and not the caring, funny or nice side… I don’t care who you are, no one deserves or should be treated like this….
‘As someone who has been told to end my life on social media, it’s time to start calling people out on this. It is not ok. Morag has made me go “Oh come on babe” in frustration but nothing near warranting saying this…

‘People are vile bullies. Jealousy springs to mind… This is not acceptable. TV is edited. Don’t get it twisted… Absolutely unacceptable…
‘Reality TV has ALWAYS been and ALWAYS will be created and edited in such a way to purposely cause chaos, purely for ENTERTAINMENT. Waking up and seeing messages like this sent to one of my friends like this categorically unacceptable…
‘The whole ‘BE KIND’ saga was certainly short-lived. People who go on television are definitely aware they’re going to experience trolling of course….
‘But being told to KILL YOURSELF? Really? Good job Morag has a tough skin for the vile worms sending messages as these…
‘Wow. Some people are really brave behind their keyboards. Good one you Morag expose them. Also… if it wasn’t obvious this is totally unacceptable and utterly vile behaviour… Some people are vile humans.
‘So glad you are a strong character and rise above these kind of people.’
Defensive: Morag shared a legion of supportive messages from her fans and followers who were left aghast by the vile words
