‘I lost two pints of blood’: Marnie Simpson details her ‘extremely hard’ labour and birth in emotional Instagram post… one month after welcoming baby boy Rox
Marnie Simpson lost two pints of blood and had to undergo two blood transfusions during the traumatic birth of her son Rox.
The former Geordie Shore star, 27, and her reality star beau Casey Johnson, 24, welcomed their gorgeous baby boy on October 29.
The star shared an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, accompanied by a photo with her son, where she revealed it had taken her a ‘really long time’ to recover from the birth,

Marnie also detailed that she is dealing with a chronic bladder condition in the post, as well as thanking fans for the love and support her family have received.
She begins the post: ‘Excuse the state of me, I’m really not glamorous at the moment! But just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has showed support for me, Casey & baby Rox’
‘We are overwhelmed with the love you have all shown, everyone is aware I haven’t been active on Instagram lately, mostly because it’s taken me a really long time to recover from the birth’
‘It was a extremely hard birth and labor, I lost 2 pints of blood and had 2 blood transfusions so it’s taken me a little longer to feel normal again’.

‘I’m also struggling with a chronic bladder condition! which is really difficult with a new born, but thankfully I have my family and caseys support to get me through it your kindness and love has generally helped me more than you all know!
‘Rox is such a beautiful, healthy baby and that’s the main thing! I still can’t believe how I’ve managed To make such a perfect little boy, he amazes me!’ (sic)
In the photo Marnie is smiling as she cradles baby Rox, while clad in a pale pink onesie with tortoise shell buttons.
Marnie has her brunette locks pulled back away from her face and looks fresh with no makeup on.

The star has previously discussed her birth on her Instagram stories and in an interview with Ok! Magazine, but now she reveals she has still not fully recovered as she continues:
‘I’m also struggling with a chronic bladder condition! which is really difficult with a new born, but thankfully I have my family and Caseys support to get me through it.
‘Your kindness and love has generally helped me more than you all know!

Marnie and Casey first revealed their beautiful baby on Saturday in another Instagram post.

She captioned the snap: ‘Rox Johnson. 29.10.19, 8.1.’
Little Rox looked sweet in a cream onesie as he is cradled by a glamorous Marnie, who wowed in a taupe dress.
Former Stereo Kicks singer Casey looked dapper in a cream shirt as he embraced his partner and smiled down at their son.
Despite the unusual moniker the pair settled on for their son, Marnie revealed in her interview with the magazine that she had several other quirky name choices in mind.

She said: ‘The other names I liked were Columbus, Diego, and Emmett. Ultimately, Casey would have let me choose the name, but I wanted him to enjoy it, too.’
Casey added the name was the ‘only one’ the couple agreed on and he ‘loved it’ from the start.
He added that he put a stop to Marnie’s preferred choice of middle name, saying: ‘Marnie wanted his middle name to be Star but I had to put my foot down! I thought it was silly. He would have had the p**s taken out of him at school.’
Sweet: Marnie shared a video of Casey last week trying to get Roz to say ‘dad’ despite the tot only being three weeks old at the time
Marnie added: ‘Rox Star Johnson would have been the best Instagram name. If we’d given him that middle name, he would have been destined for fame.’
Marnie first detailed her ‘traumatic labour’ in an Instagram story which she posted last Tuesday.
The star said, ‘I can’t even explain what it’s like to have a baby.
‘It’s so overwhelming, your emotions, your hormones are all over the place. It’s a lot to adjust to. I needed a bit of time to come down from the birth .
‘I had a very bad birth experience, it was a traumatic labour which didn’t go to plan. I had it all in my head. I’m sad but as long as he’s healthy.’
Marnie said she can’t believe she is now a parent and it’s a lot to get her head around.

‘He’s so perfect. Worth every bit of pain I went through. I can’t believe it’s not just me and Casey now. We’re a family. A mam and dad.
‘I’m still struggling to walk but I’m on the mend. It’s definitely taking its time.’
Marnie said the outing with Casey in the car was her first time out of the house and she was enjoying the fresh air.

Meanwhile, Casey shared a black and white snap of his son’s tiny hand clasped around his finger, along with a lengthy caption confirming the arrival of his son.
He wrote: ‘Where do I start… after 28 hours of labour my strong amazing princess @marns delivered our gorgeous little man on the 29th October at 4:20pm 8.1!!!
‘My beautiful baby boy was born, I can’t even describe my emotions right now, it’s been a long journey ( 10 months ).’
