We’ve all been there, but that was scant consolation for Megan Barton Hanson as over exuberance got the better of her during a boozy night out with boyfriend James Lock on Sunday.
The former Love Island star struggled to stand upright as they staggered home at 4am after celebrating her 28th birthday in London, with hapless James unable to keep Megan on her pink stilettoed feet.
Appearing to shoulder her weight, an inebriated James, 35, stumbled across a desolate street with his girlfriend while desperately searching for a taxi to get them home.

It had all started innocently enough, with Megan and James enjoying the sights at family friendly Sea Life centre in Westminster – from where they shared a series of photos with Instagram followers.
But things quickly turned south as day turned into night and night into the early hours of the following morning, when the dishevelled couple found themselves out of sorts and alone on a freezing, empty street.
With Megan clearly the worse for wear, she was left needing her boyfriend’s repeated assistance after tripping on her heel and collapsing in a drunken heap on the pavement.
At one point she appeared to ignore his outstretched hand, opting instead to use a nearby storefront to push herself upright before unsteadily lighting a cigarette.

The reunited couple originally met while filming Celebrity Ex On The Beach, but ended their two-month fling in December before making a second attempt at romance shortly before Megan’s birthday.
Shortly after their split, The Only Way Is Essex star James admitted he would be open to embarking on a relationship with Megan because ‘she’s a great girl, she ticks all the boxes, but we never actually labelled it.’
James explained: ‘I’ve got nothing but love for, Megan, she’s a great girl and I consider her one of my closest friends.
‘With me and Megan, even though we both found each other attracted, I can’t speak for Megan but I’ve always found her stunning, I didn’t know if I was her normal type either but then we connected quite soon into the show.’

Megan recently admitted she had preconceived notions about what notorious lothario James would be like when they crossed paths on the popular reality show.
Speaking to MailOnline, Megan said: ‘We had only said hi to each other a couple of times [before the show]. I don’t know, I did have preconceived ideas.
‘It’s bad and I hold my hands up. For someone who has been judged so harshly for Love Island and sex work, I did judge James and think we wouldn’t get on. I did go to him though if I was having a bad day. It was an unlikely friendship.’
