Megan Fox lands killer new role in Bonnie and Clyde-inspired thriller Johnny & Clyde alongside Tyson Ritter
Megan Fox and Tyson Ritter have been tapped to star in the upcoming thriller Johnny & Clyde.
According to a report from Deadline Hollywood on Thursday, the 35-year-old actress and the 37-year-old All-American Rejects frontman have been cast in the film, which is a new spin on the story of real-life criminal couple Bonnie and Clyde.
Fox will play crime boss Alana while Ritter will take on the role of her head of security in the Tom DeNucci-helmed film.

A plot synopsis reads: ‘Johnny and Clyde are two serial killers who are madly in love and on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino – owned by crime boss Alana and guarded by an ancient slayer that she commands.’
Production on the film is already underway in Rhode Island. The titular roles are being cast imminently and the leads will join the production in October.
Johnny & Clyde will be produced by Chad A Verdi’s Verdi Productions and Verdi will serve as executive producer along with Andre Relis, David Gere, J.D. Beaufils, Jessica Bennett, Mickey Guerin, Anthony Gudas and Chelsea Vale.

Verdi will also produce the film and other producers include Michelle Verdi, Chad A. Verdi Jr, Paul Luba and Nick Koskoff. Amy Lippens and Ali Cesare will co-produce.
‘I am very excited to have Megan play the role of Alana. She’s a brilliant actress who will bring this character to life like no one else could,’ Verdi said in a statement to Deadline.
He went on to say, ‘I love Tyson’s energy and can’t wait for him and Megan to go head-to-head.’

Verdi Productions was also a producer on the 2021 crime thriller Midnight In The Switchgrass, which starred Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. Megan and MGK met on the set of the film and confirmed that they were dating in June 2021.
Megan had been married to Brian Austin Green for ten years but they separated in 2019 and Fox filed for divorce in November 2020.
Fox recently starred in the Netflix horror thriller Til Deagh opposite Eoin Macken. She will next be seen in another film for the streamer, Night Teeth. The thriller also stars Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Debby Ryan, Sydney Sweeney, Lucy Fry, Alfie Allen, Raúl Castillo, and Alexander Ludwig. It will be released on October 20, 2021.

Megan will also appear in the dark comedy Big Gold Brick along with Emory Cohen, Andy Garcia, Lucy Hale, Oscar Isaac, Shiloh Fernandez and Frederick Schmidt.
Though Ritter is mostly known as a musician, he has appeared in television shows and movies including House, Parenthood, Lodge 49, The House Bunny and Peppermint. He played a recurring character on the AMC series Preacher and joined the main cast for the show’s final season.
Last month, Ritter was cast in the Catherine Hardwicke-directed family drama The Prisoner’s daughter, which will star Kate Beckinsale and Brian Cox.
