Meghan Markle was seeking a “seraphic rebrand” from her interview with Ellen DeGeneres, royal expert Camilla Tominey has said.
Meghan, 40, sat down with pal Ellen on her chat show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she discussed her and 37 year old husband Prince Harry's new lives in Montecito.
She also shared a string of untold stories from her life – including one about how she used to climb through the boot of her Ford Explorer Sport because the driver’s door stopped opening.
Writing in The Telegraph, Camilla said of Meghan’s latest TV appearance: “We’d had actress Meghan, victim Meghan and multimillionaire Montecito Meghan, so viewers could have been forgiven for wondering which Meghan they were going to get on Ellen DeGeneres’s sofa.”
Camilla added that this time, viewers saw “Soccer Mom Megs”, as she attempted a “rebrand” amid her legal battle with newspaper the Mail on Sunday.
“Notwithstanding the lack of explanation over why the 40 year old Royal couldn’t have exited her old banger through the passenger door instead of clambering through the boot, this was Soccer Mom Megs, seemingly keen for a seraphic rebrand in the face of her toxic court case against the Mail on Sunday,” she said.
During her interview with Ellen, Meghan also shared a rare new photograph of her two year old son Archie playing with his pet chickens at his chicken coop in their Los Angeles mansion grounds called Chick Inn.
The snap, taken from behind so his face is obscured, shows Archie holding a basket and donning Peppa Pig wellies.
Wearing some denim jeans and a blue long-sleeved top, the youngster has presumably headed to the coop to collect their eggs.

Speaking to Meghan about the adorable snap, Ellen – who is a neighbour of Meghan and Harry's in Montecito, California – said that "he's so sweet with the chickens, too".
The host added that "Archie is just such a gentle soul", to which Meghan smiled and answered: "Aww, thank you."
