Michael Sheen, his partner Anna Lundberg and their baby daughter Lyra have been battling coronavirus for the ‘last few weeks’.
The actor, 51, took to Twitter on Tuesday morning to reveal he’s been ‘laying low’ ever since he caught the virus, which he described as ‘very difficult and quite scary’.
In honour of International Women’s Day, the screen star credited his girlfriend, 27, his eldest daughter Lily, 21, his mother Irene and his sister Joanne for ‘supporting’ him through his recovery.

The Good Omens actor appeared to be on the mend in an accompanying image, which he captioned: ‘I’ve spent the last few weeks laid low by COVID. It’s been very difficult & quite scary.
‘On #InternationalWomensDay I want to thank all the incredible women-Anna, Mum, Lily, Joanne, my friends & all the women I am lucky enough to have support me who’ve helped me through this. ❤️.’ (sic)
Swedish actress Anna also took to social media to share her experience of the disease, insisting while it’s been ‘very challenging’, the family are ‘much better now than we were’.
Alongside a photo of the couple’s 17-month-old child, the Staged star wrote: ‘Yes, we’ve all been dealing with THE virus the last few weeks. Michael and Lyra caught it first and then, inevitably, so did I.

‘It’s been very challenging for all of us but luckily we’re all much better now than we were. Thankfully I was lucky to only have relatively mild symptoms, which meant that I could keep focusing on Lyra and Michael.
‘I’m extremely grateful for our recovery and the support we’ve had from friends and family. X’ (sic)
The Welsh producer has been in a romance with Anna since May 2019 and they welcomed daughter Lyra four months later – meaning much of her life has been in the pandemic.

Speaking on Rob Beckett And Josh Widdicombe’s Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast, the activist admitted: ‘I remember when Lily was born, I was working and going away and doing stuff and I really missed that time with her.’
Michael and London-born Kate, 47, went their separate ways after seven years together, but the split was made all the more complicated because they’d only recently settled in the US with their daughter Lily.
