Michael Strahan’s ex-wife Jean Muggli Strahan is arrested in New York after violating her ex-girlfriend’s order of protection
The ex-wife of former NFL star Michael Strahan has arrested for violating an order of protection.
Jean Muggli Strahan was taken into custody by police in New York City on Friday after her ex-girlfriend reported that she had tried to make contact, according to TMZ.
She was booked for criminal contempt for allegedly disobeying the no-contact order.

In court documents filed earlier this month, Marianne Ayer claimed to have dated Jean, though she said that Strahan’s ex-wife began harassing her following their breakup.
She accused Jean of a number of crimes in her filings, including disorderly conduct, harassment, forcible touching and coercion, and even grand larceny.
She described a scene in which Jean stole a plastic gun that her son had used while making a student film and threatened her with it, all while pretending that it was a real firearm.
Marianne claims of abuse don’t just extend to herself, as she wore that Jean was cruel and abusive to her German Shepherd, which she allegedly kicked.

It’s unclear if there was any contact between the two women on Friday, but Strahan’s ex-wife was arrested simply for showing up at her former girlfriend’s home, which violated her order of protection.
Jean was Strahan’s second wife, following his marriage to Wanda Hutchins from 1992 to 1996.
The Good Morning America married Jean in 1999, and they share twin daughters Sophia and Isabella, 16.
The two underwent a contentious divorce, which was finalized in 2006.

The football star was ordered to pay $15 million in the settlement, along with $18,000 in monthly child support payments, though he later requested lower payments.
Last year, Strahan took Jean to court again seeking full custody. He claimed that she had failed to take their daughters to court-ordered therapy sessions and that she had even been abusive toward them.
The exes eventually reached an agreement under which Jean moved from her North Carolina home to New York City so that she and her ex-husband could share their girls, with each parent having them for a week at a time.
