Nicole Kidman reveals she was a ‘goner’ when Keith Urban proposed in New York at 5am with flowers
Nicole Kidman shared how her husband Keith Urban proposed to her on Tuesday during a remote appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The 54-year-old actress, who looked lovely in a pink floral print dress with her blonde hair down and bright red lipstick, was asked by host Jimmy, 47, about getting engaged in New York City to Keith, 53.
‘Did Keith Urban just sweep you off your feet? When did you know?,’ Jimmy asked Nicole.

‘He sat on the stoop of my New York apartment,’ she said. ‘I came out at 5am in the morning, and it was my birthday, and he had flowers. And that was it. I was a goner. I’m like, ”Yes I’ll marry you”.’
Jimmy then congratulated them on celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary.
‘For a second there, I thought you said 50 years,’ said Nicole. ‘Hopefully one day, but 15 years, which is pretty amazing, right?’
Jimmy asked her if they celebrated or if they had any surprise celebrations to commemorate their anniversary.

Then he said that he knew that Nicole, like him, doesn’t like surprises.
‘No, I do not,’ she said. ‘I don’t like a surprise party. I had a surprise party once and I broke out in a cold sore on the spot. …I literally did it was too stressful. It was like I was seeing apparitions, it was bizarre.’
Jimmy said he could act surprised and Nicole quipped, ‘Yes, we know that.’

He then asked her if she would ever do a duet album with Keith and she said no.

She said that she did sing but that she didn’t feel comfortable singing.

Jimmy then asked her what it was like acting and producing her new show on Hulu called Nine Perfect Strangers. He first asked her to explain to the audience what the show was about.
‘This show is such a trippy ride,’ she said.
Nicole said the show was about nine strangers who check into a wellness retreat, which was run by her character Masha Dmitrichenko. She said she played a Russian woman who treated people for their trauma or whatever they were going through. She said it all goes down in episode eight of the show.

Jimmy said that he heard that she stayed in character the whole time. She said she did, which was really weird. She said she only got to know the other actors as her character Masha.
Nicole also played a game with Jimmy to see how well they knew each other. He had then both write down their answers in secret and if they both matched they would get a point. For the first question, he asked her what was her biggest fear.
She wrote down nothing and Jimmy wrote down ‘sharks.’

Nicole showed him her empty board and declared that she feared nothing.
Jimmy then asked her which Disney character he resembled the most. She wrote down ‘Little Mermaid’ and he wrote down ‘Mickey Mouse.’
He then asked her to decide whether her go to karaoke song was ‘Mama Mia’ by Abba or ‘You Shook Me All Night’ by AC/DC. She chose AC/DC.

‘I love AC/DC,’ said Nicole.
The next question was which one of them was more likely to get a tattoo. They both agreed that neither of them would ever get one. Jimmy said if he ever got a tattoo he would get a freckle.
Jimmy asked her which emoji she used the most and she revealed it was the heart.
