Nicole Kidman looks chic in a black blazer and face mask as she takes her mother Janelle to a matinee showing of Death of a Salesman in Sydney

Nicole Kidman and her mother Janelle took in a play before the Christmas holidays. 

The pair headed out to a matinee showing of Death of a Salesman in Sydney’s Walsh Bay on Saturday.  

The actress, 54, held onto her mother’s arm as the pair made their way inside to the Roslyn Packer Theatre.

Nicole looked casually chic in a black blazer, worn over a striped shirt with a high collar. 

She added a pair of smart, beige trousers to the ensemble, as well as a pair of suede high heeled sandals. 

The Eyes Wide Shut actress had on natural makeup with a pink lip and wore her strawberry blonde curls down around her face.

Nicole kept safe in a black face mask, and donned a pair of sunglasses, while carrying a Yves Saint Laurent purse. 

Her mother looks sensational in a classy blue floral sundress along with sneakers and a long necklace. 

After the show, the pair were collected in a black car before heading home.

Nicole has been in Australia in recent weeks, where she has been promoting her new movie, Being the Ricardos.

She is portraying one of the most iconic TV stars of all time, Lucille Ball, in the highly anticipated biopic. 

On Wednesday, the Aquaman actress was accompanied by her husband Keith Urban and mother Janelle at the film’s Sydney premiere.

While being interviewed on the red carpet, Keith told The Daily Telegraph: ‘It is inspiring really because it has been a really challenging role for her.’

‘I think getting past the concept of it being this impersonation, which it isn’t meant to be, it is her portraying this extraordinary woman’s life on screen and that is what she does so well.’  

Meanwhile, mother Janelle also said she ‘couldn’t be prouder’ and was looking forward to watching it.

‘She has done 65 movies I heard the other day. I am looking forward to seeing this. We have got everybody together for Christmas,’ she said.

The film is based on a true story and is centred around Lucille (played by Kidman) and her husband Desi Arnaz (Javier Bardem) as they face a crisis that could end their careers and another that could end their marriage.

Nicole and Keith, 54, who married in 2006, are parents to two daughters, Sunday Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 10.
