Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen sips beer at 10am in TV return after split from husband

Amanda Owen returned to live TV in style on This Morning following her split from her husband.

The Our Yorkshire Farm star confirmed last month that she and her husband Clive were going their separate ways after being married for over 20 years.

On Thursday, Amanda made her first TV appearance since the news and drank beer at 10 in the morning with Matt Baker.

The duo appeared live from the event in Yorkshire, showing the in-studio hosts around the animals, pens and stalls at the lively event.

Amanda, 47, recalled how “very very stressful” it was at the show in the past with her kids, as she leisurely strolled round before accepting a specially brewed beer with Matt.

"Can you imagine what it's like for me coming here with the kids, I remember losing a child here at the Great Yorkshire Show so it's very very stressful," she told Matt as they took a sip and laughed about drinking so early in the day.

In June, Amanda announced that she was splitting with her husband in a joint statement on social media.

It read: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family.

“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."

She asked for privacy and added: "We would like to thank everyone for their support and would that the media please respect our privacy as we work through this difficult time.”

The long-term couple met in 1995 before they married five years later and share nine children together: Raven, 20, Reuben, 17, Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violent, 10, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, Clemmie, five and Nancy, four.

Since the split, Amanda has admitted that she has gone “back to basics” and kept a simple life.

"You can lose yourself and distance yourself from everyone and everything,” she told TV chef, James Martin, as she added: "Once I go out of that door to work it is back to basics."

Before she admitted that her home life is “chaotic” now following the split of her marriage.

"My home life is busy and chaotic, but my work life is solitary,” Amanda said.

"Too much of each one is not good, but living in a remote place gives me peace and quiet.”
