Paddy McGuinness is hit by claims he ‘cheated on wife Christine with TV star last year’ – as she admits to working through a ‘ very difficult time’ with him
Paddy McGuinness has been hit by claims that he cheated on his wife Christine with a fellow TV star last year amid speculation their marriage is in trouble.
According to The Sun, the Top Gear presenter, 48, kissed another woman behind Christine’s back, with her finding out when she took part in The Games in May.
It comes after last week Christine, 34, shared details on the ‘very, very difficult time’ they were going through, saying that she is ‘not going to put up with things from Paddy that she might’ve in the past.’
Marital trouble: Paddy McGuinness reportedly cheated on wife Christine with a TV star last year
Paddy is believed to have kissed the star last year after a TV show appearance.
A source from The Games told the publication: ‘Everyone was talking about it. The crew all knew about the Paddy rumours, and there they were, now working really closely with Christine.
‘It was one of those shows where everyone bonded and everyone loved Christine.
‘Paddy wasn’t around at all during The Games and the more people got to know Christine, the more they felt she deserved to know what he’d been up to.

‘A number of them told her about the kiss and that he’d been unfaithful. She was very hurt and upset.’
Representatives for Christine and Paddy have been contacted by MailOnline for a comment. Christine’s rep replied to MailOnline saying: ‘Christine is dealing with her marriage in private.’
It comes after just last week Christine shared details on the ‘difficult time’ she and Paddy were going through.
Describing her mental state as ‘all over the place’ in an interview with Fabulous magazine, she shared that she is ‘not going to put up with things from Paddy that she might’ve in the past.’

‘I’m feeling really quite raw and all over the place. What I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn’t put up with now, and the same for him. I can’t deny we are having a very, very difficult time,’ she shared.
But keen to clear her own name, the former model added that she wasn’t the one who caused the difficult situation.
‘It’s just — we’ve been together 15 years, 11 years married: we are gonna have ups and downs — but this situation at the minute — I don’t want to go into it too much but I will just say that I didn’t cause this situation,’ she continued.
The couple have spent time apart in recent weeks with Christine jetting off on her first ever girls’ holiday with her close friend Chelcee Grimes, while Paddy returned on Sunday from a Top Gear filming trip to Thailand.
Family: Paddy and Christine are parents to their three children; twins Leo and Penelope, nine, and Felicity, six – who all have autism
But things appeared to be slightly more positive as she appeared on Lorraine on Tuesday morning, telling host Carol Vorderman that she the pair are headed on holiday next week with their three children.
‘I think marriages just go through ups and downs anyway,’ she told host Carol.
‘I think all marriages – especially long ones like ours – it’s not always going to be plain sailing but we’re trying to deal with things as privately as possible.’
Christine insisted her focus is on her three children, adding: ‘We just want to be there to support the children and have an amazing summer.’
Interesting: Explaining that they met while she was a teenager, Christine explained in a recent interview: ‘What I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn’t put up with now, and the same for him’
‘We’re going away on a family holiday next week and we’re really excited. They’re always going to be our focus.’
Gushing about her holiday with Chelcee, Christine told Carol: ‘I’ve never been on a girls’ holiday before. I knew that I was going to feel anxious before I left. I had the best time, I saw a waterfall, I’ve never seen a water fall ever in my life – it was beautiful.’
Paddy landed at London Heathrow on Sunday night to face the music after Christine broke her silence on rumours their marriage is on the rocks.
Paddy kept a low profile as he pushed his luggage through Heathrow after earlier promising his wife ‘cuddles’ in a comment posted on her family Instagram photo.
The presenter revealed on Instagram that he was happy to be back home after the work trip, writing alongside a video taken during his flight:
‘I is back baby! 11 hour flight but really enjoyed filming in Thailand, beautiful country. Yet no matter where I travel it’s always good to get home! Cup of tea, clean bedding and the kids are off skoo. ❤️ #home #sunday #travel #weekend #workworkyworkwork.’
He also added a comment to Christine’s family photo showing the former model in a bikini as she played with their kids in a paddling pool. ‘Cuddles tomorrow!!’ he wrote along with two love hearts.
It comes after a wave of rumours that the pair are on the rocks in recent months, as they holidayed abroad separately just last month before his trip to Thailand.
Happy place: The claims come after earlier this week she shared a snap hinting that things at home are looking up for her and Paddy as she gushed about being happy at home
And after her recent appearance on ITV’s The Games, fans were quick to notice a lack of public support from Paddy, with the pair also being snapped in what appeared to be a tense conversation.
Last week, she appeared to address the rumours via social media, reposting a range of quotes about love and trust.
In the posts, the TV personality said although she has been ‘the most broken version’ of herself at times, she has also been the ‘strongest’.
Christine also shared a series of cryptic motivational quotes about ‘making positive choices’ and ‘completely re-creating yourself’.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Regarding the press… There is only one thing I want to make clear right now… I didn’t put us in this situation.’
While a source recently said to The Mirror that: ‘It’s been a very tough time of late. The problems are very much current.’
They also added that the couple are ‘trying to work through various issues.’
Paddy and Christine are parents to their three children; twins Leo and Penelope, nine, and Felicity, six – who all have Autism.
They have been together for 15 years, after meeting while Christine was modelling in a fashion show at Liverpool Tennis Tournament, before tying the knot in 2011.
But it’s not the first time they have hit headlines for their marriage, with Paddy being snapped on a boozy night out with Nicole Appleton back in 2018.
Admitting that the pictures made her ‘sick’ and felt like a ‘a heartbroken moment’, Christine has shared that she and Paddy no longer discuss the snaps and just ‘got on with married life’.
