Pamela Anderson has revealed she’s ‘feeling puffy’ after gaining weight in lockdown.
The Baywatch star, 53, admitted that despite having a gym at her family ranch in Canada she’s spent much of the COVID-19 pandemic just ‘looking at it,’ after leaving the US at the height of the crisis.
Pamela also revealed that due to the current lockdown she’s struggled with ‘the epidemic of loneliness’ and hasn’t seen her youngest son Dylan, 22, for seven months as he has been quarantining in LA.
Changed: Pamela Anderson, 53, has revealed she’s ‘feeling puffy’ after gaining weight in lockdown
Pamela told the Loose Women she’d struggled to maintain her gruelling fitness regime during the pandemic, saying: ‘I have a gym that I look at every so often. I feel a little puffy but winter is coming so I won’t feel cold.’
‘I miss my sons terribly and there are times I want to get into my car and just drive to them, there are frantic moments where I just want to see them.
‘There is an epidemic of loneliness, a lack of intimacy with technology, we have to embrace what’s happening now instead of the past, human contact is very important and we need to keep in touch.’
Difficult: The Baywatch star also revealed that since she moved back to her family’s ranch in Canada she hasn’t seen her son Dylan (pictured left) for seven months due to the pandemic
Candid: Pamela joked she ‘wouldn’t be cold’ in the approaching winter due to her lockdown weight gain, and despite owning a home gym she’d only ‘looked at it’
Relocation: Pamela told the Loose Women panel she decided to move home to Canada at the beginning of the pandemic
Pamela explained that she decided to move home to Canada at the beginning of the pandemic, especially as she didn’t want to be Stateside at the peak of the Presidential Election.
She said: ‘I’m home this is where I grew up. I am right back where I started… it’s 6am you can see it’s still dark outside.
‘I came here to stop everything, I knew I’d come back eventually when I got sick of the world, and it’s nice I surround myself with a small group of people. Hollywood friends aren’t that necessary, I have friends. I’m still defending Julian Assange…’
Absurd: She added: ‘I don’t think I want to be in LA during the election… oh yes, mail-in ballot… oh boy, the government is ridiculous’
Pamela added: ‘I don’t think I want to be in LA during the election… oh yes, mail-in ballot… oh boy, the government is ridiculous, I don’t know what to say but you have to vote or you can’t complain about it.’
Sadly the pandemic also meant that Pamela was unable to see her two sons Brandon, 24, and Dylan.
‘They’re in LA and I’m here. if you come to Canada you have to quarantine for a couple of weeks,’ she explained.
‘I went to LA. I have seen Brandon but I haven’t seen Dylan for seven months, we FaceTime but it’s not great I need more, I want to hug them.’
Difficult: But the actress said she has struggled with being separated from her family, saying: ‘I miss my sons terribly and there are times I want to get into my car and just drive to them’
‘Frantic’: She added: ‘There is an epidemic of loneliness, a lack of intimacy with technology, we have to embrace what’s happening now instead of the past’
In the past Pamela has stated the maintaining her curves has been the key to her sex appeal, telling Australia’s Maxim magazine: ‘I try to keep on a bit of weight – I think it’s better on me.’
The actreress also said that she doesn’t try to act sexy in front of the camera, and that the trick to her confidence is just being herself.
‘I don’t approach anything differently. I just act the way I would without the camera there – I’d be the same around my friends.
‘I just kept the focus on feeling good and I enjoyed the sun. Being outdoors makes me happy and healthy — it’s sexy.’
