Pete Wicks had nothing but love for his ex-girlfriend Megan McKenna before she was triumphantly crowned as the winner of the X Factor: Celebrity.
The former TOWIE couple, who dated from 2016 to 2017, split after a fiery relationship, which ended with Megan claiming Pete had texted other women.
But before she won the coveted title of the ITV singing competition, Pete, 30, showcased his support as he took to his Instagram stories to urge viewers to vote for the blonde beauty.

Sharing a stunning black and white image of the singer in the studio, Pete wrote alongside the snap: “Good luck tonight @megan_mckenna_ – you deserve this!”
Megan previously revealed her regret over her very public rows with Pete, which played out on The Only Way Is Essex.
"The way I dealt with things in the past with my exes was by screaming and that was not a good way to deal with it," she explained.
The former couple are now on good terms after they appeared alongside each other on last year’s Celebs Go Dating.
Meanwhile, Essex beauty Megan thanked her fans for making her “dreams come true” after she was crowned the winner of celebrity spin-off of this year’s X Factor.
After reaching the final with Jenny Ryan and Max and Harvey, the 27-year-old took the crown.

Megan thanked fans on Saturday night when host Dermot O’Leary announced that she had won the show, saying: “Thank you so much to everyone that voted for me I’m living my dream.”
The star then took to the stage, looking stunning in a magenta sparkly outfit to a cover of Roxette’s 1986 power ballad, It Must Have Been Love.
Earlier in the show she perfumed her emotional original song This. It is both her heartfelt lyrics and stunning voice that propelled her to win against The Chase’s Jenny Ryan, Latina influencers V5! and social media sensations Max and Harvey.
TOWIE stars: Past and present
During the show they each act performed a Christmas song to try and avoid being the first act to be eliminated from the live final.
V5 sung All I Want For Christmas Is You by Mariah Carey from a podium as confetti poured down upon them.
Max and Harvey sang Wham!'s classic Last Christmas and Jenny Ryan performed Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, which was once sung by Judy Garland.
The ex reality star's talent has not come out of the blue, she has been a fan favourite since that start of the hit show and she didn’t just walk off the TOWIE set and straight into the charts.
