Peter Andre has revealed he was accused of being used as a “puppet for the media” by a troll after he discussed his coronavirus battle.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 47, shared a shocking message he received from a troll, who had accused him of faking his Covid-19 battle, as he appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning.
Peter, who was recently called a “silver fox” for showing off his natural grey hair, opened up on his battle with the deadly virus as he appeared alongside his wife Emily via video link on the ITV show.
As he discussed his coronavirus battle, he revealed: “I get people… I kid you not, I had somebody yesterday send me a message saying: ‘I can’t believe that you’re being a puppet for the media trying to tell people that this virus is real’.

“And they said: ‘You disgust me, we never saw your thing from the NHS saying you were positive’, because what am I gonna do, just put it up on screen? It’s ridiculous.”
Peter, who’s wife Emily shared her confusion over her hubby catching the virus, opened up on his battle with Covid-19 and revealed his cousin is still in hospital battling the disease, despite contracting coronavirus before Pete.
He said: “I mean it’s quite unbelievable because everyone has different symptoms and I think one of the key things that I wanted to say was don’t ignore your symptoms because they’re not all gonna be the same.
“When I had symptoms I was absolutely convinced I didn’t have the virus and,” he then turned to his wife Emily and said: “Even you were convinced, right?”
Doctor Emily then said: “Yeah, I just think it wasn’t textbook how it presented in you. It was a lesson for both of us, really, because you need to be vigilant of your symptoms.”
Peter was then quizzed by GMB co-host Susanna Reid what his symptoms were, to which he said: “I didn’t have a temperature. I had body aches, I had a cough… I mean it wasn’t as persistent as we’d been told but it was persistent enough that we thought we should get it checked.

He added: “Yeah there were a couple of days when it was unpleasant, but people have had it far worse than me. My cousin is still on oxygen now and he was sick before me. And it just goes to show that everyone’s got different symptoms. You can’t ignore it, you can’t.”
Peter later said in the TV chat: “When I got told that he was sick – both my cousin and his son. They were both sick, they were both in hospital and on oxygen. His son is younger than me.
”All of a sudden I realised, psychologically, what this is doing to a lot of people. We’re so scared about what is going to happen, what symptoms you’re gonna have. And when I heard that they are in a bad way, and my cousin still is in hospital now, it really brought it home how serious this is.”
