Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson sparks rumours she’s ENGAGED to her rugby player beau Will Owen as she flashes a diamond ring on her left hand at the supermarket

And Eleanor Tomlinson sparked engagement rumours on Friday as she stepped out at the supermarket with a diamond ring on her finger in London. 

The 29-year-old Poldark star was wearing the dazzling ring as she popped to Sainsbury’s in a casual white top jeans and black trainers.

Eleanor looked stunning as she kept things casual and nipped to the shops with her shopping bag in one hand and her diamond ring on the other. 

She looked upbeat as she swept up her red tresses up into a half-up-half-down style and greeted her mother Judith Hibbert outside the shop. 

Eleanor has also been spotted wearing the ring alongside Owen at a friend’s wedding.

On that occasion, the actress looked glamorous in a plunging black jumpsuit as she posed for pictures with a suited Owen, who plays centre back for Coventry Rugby, with a glass in hand.

Sources have claimed the Poldark star is ‘absolutely smitten’ with her beau after taking her time before entering a new relationship following her split from co-star Harry Richardson in 2018.

Eleanor first hinted she had a new man in her life when she shared a loved-up social media snap with Will in February.

A source told The Sun: ‘The pair have been seeing each other for quite a few months and are absolutely ­smitten.

Chic: Eleanor has also been spotted wearing the ring alongside Owen at a friend’s weddingwhere she looked glamorous in a plunging black jumpsuit as she posed next to Owen 

‘She gets on really well with his family and they decided to be together with them during quarantine.

‘It’s been a while since her last boyfriend. She took her time, didn’t rush into anything and she really thinks things can go far with Will who is a proper man’s man.’ 

The star also revealed she’d been spending lots of time with Will’s family as they isolated together during the lockdown.

She told the Overrated podcast: ‘We’re just having a real laugh. Just sitting out in the garden doing a lot of drinking.’

Eleanor previously appeared on the West Country drama Poldark as the flame-haired beauty Demelza, alongside Aidan Turner as the titular Captain.

She dated Aidan’s stunt double Ben Atkinson, 25, until June 2017, before embarking on a romance with Australian actor Harry ­Richardson, 27, who played Drake Carne in the series.

Will plays for his local team Coventry Rugby, but also played for Leicester Tigers, Doncaster Knights and Nottingham Rugby Club.

Most recently, Eleanor was spotted filming season two of the BBC dark comedy The Offenders in Bristol. 

The show focuses on seven strangers forced together to complete a community payback sentence in Bristol.

The show is new to the BBC and Amazon Prime, with season one yet to air this year, and season two already being shot.

In the show, Eleanor plays Gabby, an ‘aristocratic celebutante whose glamour and life of leisure masks deep-rooted problems’.

In a recent interview, she said of her character: ‘Gabby is a social-media influencer with a drink and drug problem. 

‘She is wild and uncontrollable and, without being unkind, blissfully unaware of the lives of others around her, which makes her outrageously funny to play.’  

Filming began last year but was postponed because of Covid.
