Lydia Bright has revealed she was hospitalised during the early stages of her pregnancy due to stress after splitting from Lee Cronin.

The TOWIE star, 29, hosted a Q&A session with her followers on Thursday morning, in which she revealed she was left heartbroken after the split and at the time her extreme sickness – which she claims was stress-induced – landed her in hospital.

Lydia shocked fans when she revealed she’d split from Lee at the same as announcing her pregnancy and she has now shed more light on the break-up.

After a fan asked about how she coped, Lydia said: ‘The beginning was very hard. I’m so strong now but at 11 weeks I was completely heartbroken and lost. I was so worried that people would judge my situation…

‘Before my announcement shoot hit the shelves I was in hospital with sickness (probably due to the stress of it all)…

‘People are always quick to talk about the negative side of social media and the press, But I truly believe that my strength came from the support I received from strangers.’

When she was asked if she would like to get married, Lydia referenced her mum Debbie and dad Dave’s wedding after 40 years as a couple.

She wrote: ‘Yes, I always thought I would be married before I had children. But look at my parents, they got married after 40 years together. I can’t wait for my special day but I have realised there is no rush’.

Earlier this month, Lydia shared a snap from her last baby scan appointment, where she had been joined by Lee for the appointment.

Asked whether Lee is an ‘active part’ of her unborn baby’s life, Lydia responded: ‘Our baby was very much planned and we are both very excited for her arrival. Lee has been at every scan. Here we are with our midwife Justine.’

Another fan then probed: ‘If Lee is involved and it was planned, why are you not together?’

The reality star replied: ‘So many questions about me and Lee. I have learnt that things don’t always plan out the way you hoped and life isn’t always perfect and that’s ok.

‘I get so many messages from women who are in similar situations to me. My only advice is not to be bitter, focus on the miracle and whatever will be will be…..’

Elsewhere in the Q&A, Lydia revealed that her sister Georgia was the first person she told about her pregnancy, before gathering the rest of her family the next day to make the big reveal.

Lydia also added that although she had always been close with pal Lucy Mecklenburgh, the pair were even closer now because Lucy is also expecting her first child, with boyfriend Ryan Thomas.

Lydia announced in August that she was expecting her first child, a daughter, with her ex-boyfriend Lee Cronin in February next year.

While Lydia is pleased to become a first-time mother, the star confirmed she split from her long-term partner Lee after being in a relationship for more than two years.

The couple first briefly parted ways in January with Lydia confirming they had split for good in August.
