Siblings tend to have a special bond, and royal brother and sister Prince George and Princess Charlotte are no exception. According to a source from People, the two are incredibly close despite being polar opposites.
“They are close in age, and they spend so much time together,” the insider told People. “Playdates [with outsiders] can be tricky, so they learn to lean on each other.”
Although the two spend much of their time with one another, Prince George, 6, and Princess Charlotte, 4, have completely different personalities. The source continued to describe Prince George as “more reserved” while Princess Charlotte is “more outgoing.”
Some of this personality was on full display during The King’s Cup regatta last week, where the royal siblings made an appearance.
While making an appearance with her mother, Kate Middleton, Princess Charlotte was instructed to wave to the onlookers. Instead, the four-year-old stuck her tongue out at the throngs of people, an adorable moment of regal rebellion. Kate teasingly reprimanded her daughter.
That wasn’t the first time that the fourth in line showed some sass. After the birth of her little brother, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte had a taut exchange with paparazzi about her baby brother’s christening. “You’re not coming,” she simply told them as her father, Prince William, tugged her along.
And although Prince George is allegedly less forthcoming than the princess, that has yet to stop him from expressing his true feelings in photos.
