Why wasn't Prince Harry wearing military uniform at Trooping the Colour?

Prince Harry opted for a simple navy suit and the decision not to sport military uniform comes after he stepped down as a senior royal.

When this happened a couple of years ago, Prince Harry was stripped of several honorary military titles.

The titles included Honorary Air Commandant of RAF Honington and Captain-General of the Royal Marines.

Harry and Meghan also weren't standing on the balcony and opted to keep a low profile, only spotted a handful of times by royal fans.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and Prince William as first and second in line to the throne, joined the Queen on the balcony.

After their appearance at Trooping the Colour, Harry and Meghan, 40, were also spotted on Friday 3 June at the Service of Thanksgiving.

The couple arrived to huge cheers from the crowds, but there was no sign of their children Archie, now three, and Lilibet, who is about to turn one.

The couple were all smiles as they arrived, with Harry looking dapper in a suit and Meghan wowing in a white ensemble with matching hat.

Harry and Meghan were greeted at the great west door by the Dean of St Paul’s.

In the background sounds of cheers could be heard by onlookers, who shouted out their names.

They took a few moments to talk to the senior cleric before heading inside, and Harry was seen chatting to the Archbishop of York who later will give the sermon.

Royal fans had been awaiting the reunion of the 'fab four,' and William and Kate sat across the aisle from Harry and Meghan in the front row.

The Queen decided to pull out of the St Paul's Cathedral Thanksgiving Service.

It has been reported her reason for missing the event is due to "discomfort" which she suffered during Thursday's Trooping of the Colour ceremony.

Although she will sit out Friday's events, Her Majesty will still lead the lighting of the principal jubilee beacon on Thursday evening.
