Prince William is said to be “mourning” the collapse of his once close relationship with his brother Prince Harry, according to experts.
Friends of William, who is soon to turn 40, have spoken out about how the second in line to throne is really feeling about his deteriorated relationship with Harry, 37.
“He [William] alternates between grieving for what he has lost and feeling really, really angry about what his brother has done,” a friend told The Daily Mail.
The source continued: “He truly loves Harry and feels he has lost the only person, aside from his wife, who understood this strange life of theirs.
“But he believes there are things you just don't do. And Harry has 100 per cent crossed that line.”
When asked if they thought William and Harry would ever repair their bond, a friend told the publication: “That’s a hard question to answer. The truth is they have got to find some common ground again at some point.
“[But] William is also very principled and believes Harry has crossed a line. He’s thrown accusation after accusation, knowing that silence is the family’s only option because they don’t want to get dragged into a public slanging match. He sees how upset his father has been by it all, and it hurts.
“William is absolutely allergic to drama but Harry has ensured that their family laundry is being aired on a global scale.”

In the lead up to the brothers being reunited forThe Queen’sPlatinum Jubilee celebrations recently, the royal siblings were reportedly holding ‘weekly video calls’ and were “back on old buddy terms”.
A source claimed last month that the once-close brothers were working hard at healing the rift following Harry and Meghan’s departure from the royal family and their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.
A source toldThe Mirror: “The brothers needed time for everything to settle down. The family, including William, had been disappointed in the way Harry and Meghan chose to leave the royal family.
“But now there is a strong feeling that what happened is in the past and that they have moved on… It seems that the two of them have healed the rift and are very much back on their old buddy terms.”
The source claimed that neitherKate, Duchess of Cambridge, or Meghan, Duchess of Sussex were involved in the calls, letting their husbands reform their brotherly bond.
Despite this, it's reported that William and wife Kate “didn’t see much” of Harry and Meghan over the recent Platinum Jubilee weekend.
