Priscilla 'not talking' to Riley amid feud over Lisa Marie will

Priscilla Presley ‘not talking’ to granddaughter Riley Keough who ‘is seeing a new side of her grandmother’ amid feud over Lisa Marie will

Priscilla Presley is reportedly not speaking to her granddaughter Riley Keough as they battle it out over Lisa Marie Presley’s will.

Lisa Marie, the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, shockingly died six weeks ago at the age of 54 after going into cardiac arrest at home.

In a 2016 amendment to her will, Lisa Marie removed her mother as her executor and named her two adult children Riley and Benjamin Keough as her only heirs.

Benjamin died by suicide in 2020 and left Riley as the sole heir, but Priscilla is now challenging the amendment, which cut her out of the will entirely.

‘Riley and Priscilla are not talking,’ one of Lisa Marie’s friends told Page Six. ‘Their relationship is changing, that is true…it’s just so sad.’

The source argued: ‘This is the time Riley would really need her grandmother,’ but noted ominously: ‘Riley is seeing a new side of her grandmother.’

Meanwhile a Graceland insider spilled: ‘Riley’s not looking for a war. She always had a good relationship with her grandmother. Lisa had her issues with her mother, but…she didn’t drag [her kids] into [their] personal issues.’

Furthermore the source maintained that ‘Lisa was meant to outlive her mother’ and so ‘there should be no in-fighting within the family over a trust that was always meant to go to Riley and Benjamin.’

The insider wondered: ‘Why does Priscilla feel that she is most suitable to run things? Why does she feel that she should take over?’

Priscilla is slated to appear at next month’s Oscars, where Austin Butler has been tipped as the best actor frontrunner for a biopic of Elvis.

The Graceland source intimated that Riley, who is an acclaimed actress in her own right, is ‘unlikely’ attend the ceremony.

Lisa Marie received the whole of her father’s estate including Graceland and $100 million when she turned 25 in 1993, 16 years after Elvis’ death. However she is said to have frittered away much of the money in the intervening years.

Priscilla was a trustee of Lisa Marie’s estate until 2016, when the amendment removed her and replaced her with Riley and Benjamin.

Now Priscilla is contesting the amendment, claiming in court documents that it was installed with the use of an ‘invalid signature.’

At the start of this month Priscilla urged the public to ‘please ignore “the noise”. As I have always been there for Elvis’ legacy, our family, and the fans, I will continue to forge a pathway forward with respect, honesty, dignity, integrity, and love.’

However last week an Entertainment Tonight insider shared: ‘It has been a very tense and heartbreaking few weeks for both Riley and Priscilla.’

The source explained: ‘Riley has been mourning the loss of her mother and is heartbroken to have to deal with a trust dispute with a family member.’

Resemblance: ‘She is heartbroken that this has turned into a public matter and knows her mother would never want this,’ a source said of Riley, who is pictured with Lisa Marie in 2017

Meanwhile, per the insider: ‘Priscilla is adamant that she has a valid case and that she will prevail in court. Riley and Priscilla aren’t communicating at this time, but have been in communication through lawyers.’

The source added that while ‘Riley would prefer to settle this dispute privately,’ both women are now ‘gearing up’ to face off in court.

‘She is heartbroken that this has turned into a public matter and knows her mother would never want this,’ the source said of Riley, noting that Priscilla remains ‘convinced that old documents had been forged.’

Riley, who has lost both her mother and her brother in the past three years, is said to be ‘very stressed’ but ‘trying to keep a positive attitude.’
