Rihanna returned to her home country of Barbados on Saturday to celebrate the wedding of her long-time friend Sonita Alexander.
The 30-year-old singer stood out in a bright blue bridesmaid dress as she cheered on the newlyweds with her fellow guests outside the venue.
The chart-topper, who has known bride Alexander since she was 11 years old, could not hide her delight as she waved the couple off to their reception in a vintage car.
The singer had documented the getting ready process for fans on her Instagram earlier that day, by sharing snaps of herself and the bride in matching silk robes.
The pair formed a close friendship at school, and Sonita is often seen supporting Rihanna at her concerts and Fenty Beauty launches in videos shared to the star’s social media pages.
Rihanna was seen touching down into Barbados, where she lived until she was 18, by private jet on Friday morning, in a hot pink jumper and shorts.
Her return to the island comes after The Sun on Sunday revealed the singer is making the UK her new home, after splashing out $8.9 million on a three-story mansion in north-west London.
The move will make her the neighbor of Sir Paul McCartney, who she teamed up with for hit track “FourFiveSeconds” back in 2015.
However, the Beatles legend may need to invest in a good pair of earplugs, as Rihanna is said to be planning a dig-down basement for the pad in order to host wild after-parties.
A source said: “Paul favors peace and quiet instead of partying. He does a lot of recording at home and knows Rihanna is renowned for a life of excess.
“A couple of residents have heard rumors she may be planning a basement renovation which can take months to complete and will mean constant noise.
The “Pon De Replay” singer is believed to have split from Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel back in May, after almost a year of dating.
The pair were pictured having a fierce row the following month while away in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
