IT might be the year of the woman on Celebrity Big Brother but the next housemate going in wearing heels is all man.
RuPaul's Drag Race star Courtney Act – real name Shane Jenek – will enter the Channel 5 reality show on Friday night alongside the other male contestants.
A source said: "Courtney has seen everything as a drag queen so nothing will faze her in the house.
"She's a pro who won't be intimidated by any of the big personalities in there and she won't back down from a row."
Best known for her appearance on season six of the US reality show, where she was a runner up to Bianca Del Rio, Courtney most recently appeared on MTV reality show Single AF on the hunt for love.
She later teamed up with fellow queens Willam Belli and Alaska Thunderf*** as the girl group AAA Girls.
The band have toured the world with a string of hits, and recently appeared in Little Mix's music video for hit single Power.
They are close friends with Jade Thirlwall from the band.
Courtney found fame on Australian Idol in 2003 after initially being rejected when she auditioned as Shane, but later returning in full drag and getting through to the live shows.
The singer has also made a fortune with her own wig company, specialising in hair-pieces for drag queens.
Courtney, who is a drag queen and identifies as a man when out of drag, will enter the house alongside Boyzone star Shane Lynch and football legend John Barnes on Friday night.
They will join India Willoughby, Rachel Johnson, Ann Widdecombe and Amanda Barrie in the house as well as Malika Haqq, Jess Impiazzi, Ashley James and Maggie Oliver.
