The two-minute trailer kicks off with Al Roker as he’s predicting the day’s weather.

‘Get out and enjoy some time with the family on this beautiful day. There won’t be anything quite like it again,’ he can be heard saying as the camera flips to a scene on the beach where sharks are flying through the air.

‘Look out,’ Ian Ziering yells as he smacks a shark away with a surfboard.

The trailer goes on to introduce a star-studded veteran cast that includes Tara Reid, Vivica A. Fox, and Cassandra Scerbo.

‘If we can stop Sharknado we can stop them all,’ Scerbo says.

‘Time travel is risky, but if we do it right, we can reset everything back to the way it should be,’ Ziering responds.

Ian is then catapulted back in time to the pre-historic age where a giant shark chomps down on a helpless T-Rex.

The shark killing crew then visit Merlin’s Castle where they are forced to battle dragon sharks.

Traveling in a giant soup vat, the characters are then transported to the Wild Wild West and Revolutionary War times.

The trailer comes to a close as Ziering finishes off a robotic shark.

‘Maybe that’s how sharks evolved over the last 20,000 years. I can’t wait to see what the humans look like,’ he says as an army of Tara Reid replicas step out with guns.

‘It’s the planet of the Aprils,’ Fox says in reference to the hit movie franchise Planet Of The Apes.
