Susanna Reid sparked a social media frenzy after the broadcaster shared a radiant selfie to celebrate her 51st birthday today. The Good Morning Britain presenter stunned fans as she posed in a sweet snap with her mum Sue Smith, 80.

In view of her 587,000 followers, Susanna marked her big day with a candid photo.

The mum and daughter duo beamed for the snap before the ITV favourite thanked fans for the birthday messages.

Susanna thanked the former nurse for being there for her after posting the close-up shot.

She penned: “THANK YOU! To my lovely Mum for 51 years (and to my Daddy too!) and to everyone who has sent gorgeous birthday messages.”

Susanna opted to go make-up free as the photo showed the popular presenter with her hair loose.

Fans swiftly inundated the comment section, as social media users gushed over the pair’s appearance.
